I have a heart and it is beating because of you and just for you.
She woke up and saw outside. It was still dark there. So she again tried to sleep but failed.she took her steps to balcony. It was a beautiful view of agra. She was watching it for very first time. sun was about to rise and the light rays were reflecting by the white clouds and it was creating a beautiful magical golden view. And while watching this, She heard a sound from ground floor so she looked down. It was him her husband. She went there. He was doing practice there.
"Aap itna jaldi uth gye?" she asked.
" Insaan uthta tabhi hai jab vo raat ko soya ho." He replied and looked at her with a smirk and again started his practice.
"Kya matlab? Aap raat ko soye nahi the?" she asked.
"Kya kare raat bhar aap humare khwab me aakar hume pareshan jo kar rahi thi" he smiled naughtily.
She just gave him a glare on his answer.
"Uff ye nigahe... kisi ka bhi qatl kar sakti hai." He teased her.
"Aap shenshah hai is tarah ki baate aapko shobha nahi deti."jodha said.
"Hum yaad dila de ki hum pehle aapke shohar hai, kher aapki nind aaj jaldi khul gyi iski koi khas vajah! Kahi aisa to nahi ki hum bhi khwab me.." jalal said and smirked.
"Pta nahi humari hi mati bhrsta ho gyi thi jo hum savere savere aapse baat karne aa gye.." jodha said and went to harem.
"Hahaha begum jodha aap nahi janti ki ek aap hi hai jisse baat kar k humare dil ko sukoon milta hai, shayd khuda ne aapko humari chintao se kuch rahat dilane k liye hi bheja tha.." jalal said to him self and again started his practice.
After a week,
Again it was a early morning. Jodha was in balcony but she was searching him on ground floor. He was not there today. She felt someone pulled her and on the next moment she found her self infront of him.
"Aap aaj fir jaldi uth gyi jodha?" he started taking steps towards jodha and jodha started taken her steps backside. It continued till she did not touch wall.
"Haan vo hum. . ."
"Aap kya? Yun chup chup kar roj apne shohar ko dekhna begum ko shobha deta hai!" He asked and smirked.
Jodha looked down and smiled.
"Hum bohot dino se dekh rahe hai aap kuch pareshan hai isliye hum aapko roj dekhne aya karte the ki shayad aap humse kuch kahe.." jodha said.
"Par aap humse kabhi milne nahi aayi.. aisa kyun?"
"kyuki fir aap ulti sidhi baate kar k baton ko ghuma dete. ." Jodha said.
"Hume lagta hai aapko begum ruqiya se baat kar leni chahiye." Jodha added.
" Jodha hume pata nahi aisa kyun lagta hai ki humare aas pass jo log hai vo humse isi liye mohobbat karte hai kyuki hum shenshah hai. " jalal said out from his heart.
"Aapko aisa kyun lagta hai, hume to aisa nahi lagta, hume lagta hai koi kitne bhi unche ohde pe kyun na ho kisi insaan ka prem vo tabhi paa skta hai jab vo dil se aaaf ho. Agar aapko koi sachha prem karta hai to vo shenshah se nahi aapke ander k jalal se prem krta hai." Jodha was saying .
Ruqiya saw himwith jodha. And went to her room with so much anger.
After a while, jalal enterd in her room.
"Jalal aap kaha the?" she asked.
"Bahar the shamsherbaji ka abhyas kar arhe the kyun ruqiya begum aaj iss tarah k sawal kyun puche ja rahe hai humse.?." jalal asked.
" Jodha begum k kamre k bahar aap talwarbaji ka abhyas kar rahe the?!lagta hai Begum jodha apni hadd bhul rahi hai.." ruqiya was so angry.
"Hum unke kamre k bahar gye the to usme jodha begum ki had kaha se aa gyi. Aur hume nahi lagta ki ek shohar aur ek begum k milne me koi bandhan hai." Jalal tonted her.
"Hum to bas aise hi keh rahe the jalal, aap naraj na ho. Hume laga jodha begum ka mann bdal gya hai aur vo aapki taraf aakarshit ho rahi hai, lekin vo nahi jaanti SHENSHAH sirf mere hai" and she hugged him.
Weeks passed and the bond between jodha and akbar became more strong.
One day at night, they were talking in the garden.
"Hum aapse kuch puchna chahte hai, humne aapke mangetar ko maar diya aur aapka jivan barbaad kar diya kya aap abhi bhi humara sir kalam nahi karna chahti?" - jalal asked a sudden question.
"Ye kaisa sawal hai. Is tarah ki baat puchne ki koi khas vajah?" - jodha was numb.
"Sawal pehle humne pucha hai begum jodha." - jalal
"Surya bhanji humare mangetar the aur hum unse bohot prem karte the. Humne unke sath jivan bitane k sapne dekhe the to hum shenshah jalludin ko us baat k liye kabhi maaf nahi kar sakte." - jodha said.
"Kintu..." before she could complete her sentence jalal went from there.
Next morning jodha came to know about jalal's departure for delhi.
" Kyu begum jodha, aap jalal k dilli jane ki baat par itna chonk kyu rahi hai, aap ko to ye baat pta hi hogi." Ruqiya said with an evil smile.
"Nahi begum ruqiya hum ye baat nahi jante the." - jodha.
"Aajkal to shenshah pura waqt aapke sath gujarte hain fir bhi aap ye baat nahi janti! Iska matlab to ek hi hai." Ruqiya said
"Kya?"
" Shenshah k harem me jab koi nayi begum aati hai to shenshah apna pura waqt unhe dete hai aur kuch din me jab vo unse ubb jate hai to unhe chod dete hai. Aapke sath bhi shayd yahi ho raha hai. Vo aapse ubbne lage hai."
"Nahi shenshah aise nahi hai."
"Hum unhe bachpan se jante hai begum jodha, hume aapke liye bohot bura lag raha hai." Ruqiya said and went from there.
Ruqiya made her think about what she said. She was confused about herself. She was confused about why she is affected by her talkings. Why it is pinching that jalal did not inform about his visit.
A month passed, but jodha was still tensed and confused as well.
" Aaj shenshah aayege to hum unse hi puchege, iss tarah se soch soch k to hum pareshan ho gye hai." Jodha said to her self.
"Nahi hum unse milne hi nahi jayege. Haan jodha ye sahi rahega." She again talked with herself.
But as soon as she heard about his come back she run towards the balcony.
Jalal's eyes were also finding her but he controlled his heart, which was there and it has been started beating because of her and for her.
In evening, he came into her room.
" Aa gye aap?" jodha was pretending to be normal.
"Nahi hum kaha aaye hai ye to koi aur hai jo aapke kamre me ghus aaya hai." Jalal teased her as usual.
" Aapne hume apne dilli jane k bare me kyu nahi bataya?"
"Shenshah ko bohot kaam hote hai begum jodha jaruri to nahi vo har kaam aapse bata kar kiya jaye."
"Shenshah se pehle aap pati hai aur aapka farz hai ki itni badi baat kamse kam apni patni ko btayi jaye."
Jalal took the steps towards jodha who was standing near window. Jalal hold her hand and made her turn towards him.
"Hum jab bhi aapke pass ate hai aapki sanse fulnr kyu lag jati hai!" he teased her. but she was not in that mood.
" Aap humara faayda uthana bandh kijiye hum jante hai ki aap humare sath khail khel rahe hai, humare dil k sath khelna band kijiye shenshah."
Jalal took her hand and placed on his heart.
"Aap janti hai ye kya hai? Dil hai. Log kehte the ki humare pass dil nahi hai lekin aapse milkar hume laga ki dil kya hota hai aur dhadakna kya hota hai. Aur ab ye sirf aapke liye dhadkta hai. Hum aapse mohobbat karte hai begum jodha. Ye jante hue bhi ki aap humse mohobbat nahi kar sakti fir bhi." Jalal said. And they shared an eyelock.
After a while when he was going from there jodha hold his hand.
" Aap jante hai in ungliyo k bich me jagah kyu hoti hai? Taki koi inhe bhar sake aur jivan bhar isi tarah hath tham k chal sake. Aur ek baat ye humne aur kisi k sath nahi kiya." Jodha said and kissed him.
"Prem ko shbdo ki jarurat nahi hoti ." She said and smirked.
He hugged her. And the 'mashal' of their room put off.

Still Yours
The cracks on her palm evidenced the passing winter's harsh chills as her flesh barely clung on to the inked feather she was using to write. She knew not what, or to whom she was keen on relaying this message. Nevertheless, her news was significant enough to put pen to paper at the first sun-lit hour of the morning, away from the gaze of her usual maids.
Not even her most trusted companion Mothi was allowed near the begum's work space, such was the secrecy of her morning's endeavors. The gossip mill ran quick outside her chambers as the concubines contemplated in great detail with the guards about the possibilities for the queen's unusually heightened security. Of course, the loyal ones remained tight lipped out of respect for their mistress and the chatty Cathies reluctantly followed suit for they themselves were unaware of why Jodha Bai of Amer was hiding inside the four closed walls on the first day of Phaagun.
All this chatter had already invited the inquiries of the emperor's always curious maternal advisor Maham Anga as well as his chief consort Rukaiya Begum. So far, Mothi and her minions had successfully held off any raging questions from the visitors but she wasn't sure how much longer she could pull the beat-around-the-bush-and-refuse-to-give-an-answer charade, especially considering the fresh rumors that the Ameri Bai's innocent inklings had garnered some press at the emperor's court proceedings. If the Shehenshah himself were to demand a meeting with her beloved friend, Mothi was in no place to stop the man.
Terrified as she was thinking of such prospects, she could not afford the wrath of her deep-in-thought queen. So, at least for the time being, she dared not disturb Jodha. All she could do was watch from afar the storm that was inevitably headed their way.
"Where is she?" Jalal ud-din Mohammad kicked open an already unlocked door terrifying the maids like he suspected. Surrounded by his usual air of hot arrogance, the man didn't faze Mothi anymore. She'd seen his blind fit of rage coming from a mile away. Still, pretending to be afraid of his clearly dramatic anger, she led him to his wife as calmly as a woman mentally rolling her eyes could.
"There sir. If you turn to the right and..."
Before Mothi could provide anymore pertinent information to the king, he was already halfway inside the largely confusing chamber. Considering he was the one who approved the construction of this and many other buildings like this one, the proud emperor marched on, determined to explore the belly of the beast. Unfortunately, the task was easier said than done. He could hear a breezy melody ringing in the airy corridors but the wind spread the sweet sounds so evenly across the halls, he couldn't place the direction of the source.
"Jodha Begum", he yelled after five minutes of exhausting search.
"Good God, you've just confirmed my suspicions. Didn't we discuss this yesterday? I am losing my sanity. Soon, I will require full time aid and then exile to an island for the clinically insane and it is only downhill from there Khahna Ji!. A little help wouldn't hurt, you know?"
For a second Jalal scratched his head over these strange thoughts of his wife being spoken out loud but as soon as he realized she was busy conversing with her God, his curiosity piqued. He kept himself hidden as he tried locating the position of his unsuspecting queen.
"At first I thought it was you playing tricks Khahna but now I know I am crazy, mad, stupid, a coward, anything, everything you say but... I am not in...please I can't even find the courage to say the words...not with that man, not... Shehenshah?!"
"First time I hear a Rajput admitting to cowardice", he scoffed attempting a half-hearted jab at the woman who had blindsided him with such , albeit incomplete but still, candid confessions.
"I..", the flabbergasted woman struggled to gather her thoughts and the papers now scattered across the cemented floor. "I was...reading...my...letter aloud...why are you here?" As she pulled her pallu back on her head, her sass naturally followed. "Dear Lord Krishna has given you a pair of working eyes. And by his grace, you've good hearing too and I would like to think some brain power though I am not sure about the last one".
"Jodha, get to the point", he snorted out the anger surfacing across his features. This woman and antics would be the death of him. The minute Jalal would start believing his new wife had assimilated in his traditions, or at the very least, learned to behave herself, she would blur out something so honest he would be left tongue tied.
"Why did you choose to ignore all the signs I put up saying I do not wish to be disturbed?" She huffed against the curls settled on her forehead. Jalal looked on, amused.
"Well, you are going to have to ask all your daasis who were all to happy to get out of my way as soon as they caught my smell".
"I don't blame them, the aura of a blood thirsty ape that you carry around doesn't help much". There she went again.
"That's enough begum!" Jalal folded his fingers into a fist, trying absorb in all the erupting anger. "Within the course of one conversation you've questioned my intelligence, my vanity, my empathy and called me a monster. You hate me, I get it. You don't have to make it evident at every occasion you get".
"I am sorry", she whispered realizing all pain was felt the same- be it inflicted on a Hindu or a Muslim, a bleeding heart or conniving politician.
"What did you say?" He displayed a lopsided smile at her inaudible apology.
"I didn't mean to call you all those things. You aren't those things and I know that. I am just amazed at how much you pretend to be big and bad". The woman was could be sincere when she so desired.
"Eh?"
"I said I am sorry so drop it, will ya?"
"In your dreams begum. You can't leave me hanging mid sentence. If Jalal wants something, he won't stop until he has gotten it. Begum you not are leaving here without an explanation".
"If that's the case then, I've never met Jalal because the Jalal I know will shut up and slurp the drink I pour in his glass. So, what do you say we get out of here?"
Could it be? Jodha thought he was scared of her!?
"Feeding me the bone but keeping the meat to yourself, I don't understand you woman".
"Does anyone?"
"When you put it that way..."
There words were not-so-subtly inching toward flirtation. The Rajputani knew better than to lead her husband on, or did she?
"Anyway, here is a reassurance: no matter strange, aggravating, pain in the...ahem, disagreeable you are, I am still here. Still yours".
"Jodha".
Her words begged repetition and Jalal knew all too well the empress wouldn't give.
"I got to go now. We'll talk later... when you've forgotten all about today", she said her parting words and exited into one of the numerous corridors.
"That's not going to happen", he thought running his fingers over Jodha Bai's unfinished calligraphy.

Mohabbat-e-Jungg
...The grief in her heart was too much to take in...she was shamed in front of the
court for an unintentional unfortunate incident...Shahenshah had announced her
banishment from Agra as her punishment for the severe crime...and her own
mother had refused to take her back to Amer...her maayaka...on the pretext of
not letting her fate ruin the future of her younger sisters...
...Her tears were unstoppable...her troubled mind suggested her just one solution
to end all this...and that was to end her life...
...without wasting any more time...she set off on a horse towards a path unknown...
the horse galloped away in whichever direction she pulled its rein...unaware of the
fact that its rider was leading it towards a thick jungle...whose paths were as
confusing as the thoughts in her mind...
...In Agra...
Jalal was having some discussion in the deewan-e-khas...when he was informed about Jodha's absence from the palace...He was very
shocked as to where she might have gone..that too without anyone knowing...
...He asked Jodha's hindu daasis...palace guards...had the whole palace searched...
but on finding no clue...he decided to set out for her search before it was too late..
.Rukaiyya and his ammi jaan had been talking about how in a troubled state of
mind...she might try to commit suicide...
...Jalal had come too far away on his horse...still found no clue as to where Jodha
might have gone...
...there lay a dense forest ahead...and from where he stood now...he could see rocky
hills on one side...and a river on the othe...wait...!!...a horse was standing near the
river...and then he saw a female figure running towards the river...It took him no
time to guess it was none other than Jodha...
