No I thought that he blamed himself for the sorrow that Ipshita was going through. Here he is, Mr Shiv Kapoor happy with his wife and kids and there on the other side is Ipshita who did not want Anupam in her life but had to accept him because of the decision Shiv took at the last minute, and now there is nothing in her life to look forward too. It was very unfair to Ipshita she does not get her love and even the compromise does not work out well for her. Gauri was the first one in front of Shiv and that's why his anger was directed towards her.

It is not easy to forget your first love, in Shiv's case the love that had endured from childhood and that he wanted to convert into something permanent but things did not work out. I actually liked Shiv's reaction for Ipshita, he so wanted Ipshita to be happy even if he was no longer part of her life. And yet fate cheated her. Somehow it felt right that he would feel cheated on her behalf. His anger on Gauri was though wrong, and I am sure once he calms down he will apologise.
