CHAPTER-5.

Mesmerised,Shlok stared into a pair of slanted hazel eyes,filled with all the innocence in the world in crystal clear visibility..

Shlok was drowning in them,slowly but steadily,he was getting lost in those innocent but all knowing haze eyes..He was feeling she could see right into his soul with those eyes of hers..

Time stood still,as he stared into her eyes.. Unblinkingly,unmovingly,he stared into the most beautiful and mesmerising eyes he had ever seen in his life..

Somewhere in the distance a night owl hooted,which made him blink,and made her move too..She tried to squirm free,but Shlok pulled her tighter upto him..

Slowly his eyes took in her whole moonlit,glowing creamy face again..His eyes passing on each feature..

He studied each flawless feature,as if he could not believe what he saw..

Who would have known that Shlok Agnihotri,would end up getting married to an angel,a fairy,a siren..He did not know what to call her,as his eyes studied her beautiful face with that creamy flawless glowing skin..

He was raising his hand to touch her,when she tried to squirm free again..

Shlok pushed her against a nearby tree trunk,and easily held both her arms trapped between themselves,as he freed one hand to touch her..

He needed to check if she was real,or a dream..He explained to himself,and his inner scandalized protesting voice..He had to check and ensure what he was seeing will not vanish when he touched her..He did not want her to vanish with a whoosh when his dream got broken..He did not want her to vanish,period..

Astha was breathing hard,he realized,as he held her pinned against the tree trunk..Under the shadow and light of the moonlit garden,he stared down at his beautiful wife..Holding her wide eyed gaze,he raised his hand and lightly touched her soft cheek..

Her eyes closed,as soon as he touched her,and though he missed the eye contact,he loved the feel of her soft creamy skin under his rough fingers..

He traced his fingers to her lips where his hand seemed to come to a standstill..

"Astha..?"He wanted to see her eyes again..

Slowly she opened her eyes and looked into his dark burning ones..

Shlok inhaled a long steadying breath,but found himself engulfed in her vanilla scent..Which made him more unsteady..

Damn!How can someone look,smell and feel so delicious all at the same time!He thought in frustration,as holding her gaze his thumb brushed her soft bottom lip..

Astha's soft gasp,made his blood stir hotly..He liked that sound,and the way her eyes widened at his action..So he did it again..And again..And again..And again..

Shlok knew he had to kiss those soft juicy lips..He just had to..

He pulled her closer to him,and felt her kneel onto him..He was in heaven for sure..Another satisfied smile came on his lips..

He lowered his head..To kiss those petal soft lips of his wife..He was just close to them,when the reality suddenly seeped in..

Abruptly Shlok let go of her..

What the hell was I doing?!!I dislike her!This marriage was just for my parents!How can I touch her,or even want to..

He covered his face with his hands trying to calm himself,as he turned away..

"Shlok..?"Astha's soft voice interrupted his wild confused thoughts..

He could not even face her!It was time she also faced the reality of the situation,he decided abruptly.

"Astha..I'm..I'm sorry for all this..I know I shouldn't have done it..Let's blame it on the moonlight and the roses..Let's just forget it..Sorry..We both know we are just husband and wife by marriage and there is nothing else between us..Nor can there be..Let's forget this like a nightmare.."

Saiyng these awkward words he had left the scene..

PRESENT:

"Shlok!"His mother's voice broke into his thoughts-his remembrance of past two days..

Shlok came back to the present..

After that garden scene,he had again almost did something dangerous with Astha in their bedroom,a few hours ago..

His blood heated up,as he remembered tying her dori,as she stood infront of the mirror..The candle light had made her creamy skin glow..

"SHLOK!!!WHERE ARE YOU?!"Sighing loudly,he got up from his hiding place on the rooftop,and walked to answer his mother's call..

So much for resisting his forbidden yearning for his newly wed wife..

In her bedroom Astha was folding Shlok's clothes,and thinking about the same night in the garden..

His words were still ringing in her head..

"Astha..I'm..I'm sorry for all this..I know I shouldn't have done it..Let's blame it on the moonlight and the roses..Let's just forget it..Sorry..We both know we are just husband and wife by marriage and there is nothing else between us..Nor can there be..Let's forget this like a nightmare.."

His ugly words had echoed in her head,even minutes after he had left her in the garden..

After arousing her senses to a new found world of pleasure,he had left her just like that,and told her to think it was a nightmare!!!Only one word had escaped her lips,when she had finally found back her voice,after a stunned silence of few minutes..

"COWARD!!!"She had seethed out in anger.

And had meant it too..

But today after that hot encounter in here,she had a different thought..

A naughty smile crossed her lips,and her eyes twinkled with mischief..

"Husband dearest..You are in for some surprise.."
