She was so busy humming her favorite song, and was lost completely in her dreams that she didn't realize she was heading straight towards a group of men walking towards her in the corridor. And to her bad luck, even those men were so busy discussing about important topics, that none saw her coming, till she collided straight into a wall of muscles.
All her papers were sent flying, and she fell down from the force of it.
"Ouch," she shouted when she hit the floor. And her eyes were looking at the papers falling on the ground. Her one month's work were lying on the floor, and she could see many shoes near them. She raised her head to look at the faces, but unfortunately someone held her upper arm, and dragged her up. She felt a burning sensation in her and somehow held back the tears in her eyes.
She raised her eyes and stared in a pair of angry eyes.
"Cant you see where you are going?" the man was telling her angrily.
She murmured a deep apology, and lowered her eyes, a bit shameful to have ended up in such a situation infront of so many strangers. When her eyes lowered down, she saw her papers down. She immediately stoop down to gather them, when suddenly she saw another head bending down and helping her to pick up her papers.
When they had picked up everything, she got up and extended her hands to gather the papers. Finally she raised her head to thank the other person.
But no words came out of her mouth, when she found herself staring into a pair of dark and intense eyes. She gulped down her saliva, not being able to say anything at all. At that instant, she doubted she even knew how to speak.
"Are you ok?" the man with the dark eyes said.
Given her brain had completely left her, and her mouth wasn't responding at all to her, she just nodded her head, and then ran away before she could make a bigger fool of herself.
"Hey bhagwan," she said running wishing the ground would just open and she could disappear.
Behind her, she left a group of people laughing at her, except one man who stared at her retreating form.

Chapter 1
"He's not going to come Sakshi!" her mother was saying with tears falling down her eyes looking at her only daughter dressed up as a bride. Just a few hours before the wedding, the groom had disappeared. And he hadn't even said anything at all.
Sakshi stared with disbelieving eyes at her image staring at her from the big mirror. She couldn't believe it, he couldn't leave her at all. He loved her, he had promised to always be with her, yet he left that too without any words.

"Nahin ma, he couldn't leave me. Something must have happened to him. Did anyone try calling him? What if he had any accident? What if he was hurt?" Sakshi started to shout hysterically.
"If you people won't look for him, I'll go myself!" she said and got up, raised her lehenga and started to run towards the door.
She was going to open the door, when the door was opened suddenly, and she collided with someone again. She raised her teary eyes to look at a pair of dark eyes.
"Where is he?" she managed to ask somehow.
"He's not coming Sakshi!" he replied back with gentle words.
"Nahin how can you say this? He must be on his way!" Sakshi was crying frantically, and tried to get out. But he had grabbed her arms, and was preventing her to go.
"Leave me Arjun!" she shouted, but his hold wasn't slackening.
"Sakshi, he's getting married to someone else at this instant! He's not coming back!" he shook her cruelly to get her attention.
Behind her, she could hear the soft gasp of her mother, and then sobs. "Nahin he cant do this to me! You are lying!" Sakshi shouted. And tried to push him away. But he wasn't leaving her, and she started to throw punches at his chest.
"Sakshi hosh mein awo!" Arjun was saying, but Sakshi was too lost in her pain to even hear anything. She only knew she had to find him. And Arjun wasn't letting her go. So she kept pushing him till finally she felt something hit her face.
He had slapped her, she raised bemused eyes at him.
"Forgive me for slapping you, but he isn't coming!" Arjun said again.
Sakshi stared for a long time at him, till finally she just fell down on the floor, her legs no longer supporting her. And finally the truth entered her brains, and she started to cry.
