Okay, I think we need to get a few things out of the way.
First off, BB is a GAME. Every single person in the house made alliances and used each other. It may not have been mutual, but it definitely happened. Without Kushal, Gauher wasn't on everyone's map. She was just known as a fair player who got along with the guys very well. Her and Kushal's relationship propelled them both (in both positive and negative ways). Same with Tanisha and Armaan. The entire point of BB is to win the game and in order to do so, you need to make allies and make yourself look good. Gauher attacked Asif for "checking her out" when they've actually been friends for years, i.e. to make Asif look bad and in the process secure her chances.
Also, Gauher was perfectly FINE with Ajaz's comments before Kushal came. She actually flirted back once in a while and got along with him. When Kushal came into the picture, she completely froze him out. And honestly, both of them were rude to him.
And I think almost everyone knew that the whole Ajaz loving her thing was fake. He even admitted it. Its all about association, like you pointed out. And its all a plan to win BB because that's what BB is, a game to win.
And also: he didn't make everyone miserable. In fact, I think his humour was welcome and appreciated by many. And he broke rules during everyone's captaincy, not just Gauher's. He was her friend up until she decided to break all ties and just stop talking to her. Up until then, he did defend her. And regarding him interfering, yes he was wrong. But he went to Kushal to tell him to not make girls cry. So his intentions there were right, aka he was her friend.
I'm not saying that Ajaz is the best contestant around. However, I'm a little put off by people saying he attacked her when he was clearly responding just like her. Gauher was yelling at him and he reciprocated. He gave her tit for tat. It wasn't disrespecting her, it was treating her as an equal.
There are other things to attack Ajaz for, but his treatment of Gauher has been generally okay. Aside from his numerous compliments, which I totally understand why Gauher was annoyed, he was respectful of her. He was nothing like Armaan or even Kushal.
And BB is a game. Every contestant uses each other. It's not really fair to just point out one person while everyone participates.
