Hey guys...I'm sure u all must hv seen the DH covers..both UK n US n adult..
I'm mroe intrigued by the UK cover..as it contains different scenes from the book..n from past experiences of the books...all of those scenes are sure to come in the DH book!
Lets start with the front cover of the UK edition....
It shows the Trio...screaming their guts out😆😆😆 The painters seem to have forgotten that Ron's hair is red n not yellow blonde!
But apart from that...the UK cover's very interesting..the Trio are in on a pile of coins...they seem to have found a treasure trove??? There're coins...jewels..old war gear...there also appears to be a silverish crown...
Also...Ron's wearing green robes...and Hermione in blue...it looks like her night gown to me😆😆 Only Harry is in black robes..n fully prepared to fight...he also has scratches on his hands...and considering their reactions...it looks as though the three were surprised at night by someone...
And what about the vault....is it Hepzibah Smith's?? Remember she was really rich and she had many antiquities...they might have gone to search for the Cup Horcrux?? It looks to be a vault..coz there's a round gold plated hole behind them...
N speaking of things behind..what about the House Elf behind Harry? He's holding a sword and looks fully prepared to fight..It can be either Kreacher or Dobby but I think it's Dobby coz he is fighting with the Trio...and I don't think Kreacher would ever do that.
But then again...it could be Kreacher...it might even be Regulus's vault and Kreacher's showing it to the Trio? Whoever it is..the Trio seem to be surrounded by enemies...looking from their expressions...
Then we come to the back cover...it shows Hogwarts...at night.and thhere are trees withering away in the whitish smoke....it it that Voldemort and his DE destroyed and torched the Forbidden Forest?? And it is the full moon too...which means that the presense of Remus Lupin will have an impact on the proceedings..not to forget..Fenrir Greyback. Maybe there'll be Greyback coming back to Hogwarts..n this time in his wolf form?? And what about Bill....we'll get to knoe if he is a true werewolf or not here I guess!
Or maybe this could be the scene of the last battle??
Whatever it is...I'm happy that they'll go back to Hogwarts at some point or the other...
I'm sure that the Dememtors will be back in this book...coz Harry's patronus is shown on the inside cover....or maybe Prongs will have some other job to do...like a message to Harry from James??😕
And it also looks as though...Sybill Trelawney's under rated😉...Hermione always scorned at her crystal ball...n now its showing a snake in his mist...perhaps implying that JKR hasn't finished with Trelawney yet...there maybe some more secrets to be unveiled yet!
And you know...looking at the adult version of the UK cover...it looks as though R.A.B(whoever he is) failed in his task of destroying the Locket Horcrux because it shows up prominently on the cover...
I think this will be the 1st Horcrux destroyed....
Coming to the US cover...it shows both Voldemort and Harry in a stadium kinda thingy...atleast that's what I could make out...it's really hazy and vague..
But it reminds me of the Colosseum in Rome😛
Voldemort seems to be content letting Harry be forward and doing whatever they both want...
This is what the art director at Scholastic has to say about it:
The structures around Harry show evident destruction and in the shadows behind him, we see outlines of other people.[10] | " |
And describing the back cover, he says:
" | On the back cover, spidery hands are outstretched toward Harry. Only when the book is opened does one see a powerful image of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, his glowing red eyes peering out from his hood. |

Also..I read this at Mugglenet about the person who is the editor...called Arthur Levine...
Arthur Levine, the US Potter editor, spoke this morning on the TODAY show about the American cover:
"We're seeing Harry in a very interesting situation. Readers will find out exactly what the situation is.
"When I was reading it, I had both the excitement and the power of the book, and the plot, driving me forward. But I was also feeling a little sad. It's the last time."
When Levine admitted he "sobbed and sobbed" while reading Deathly Hallows, he was asked the following:
"That means someone we like dies, doesn't it?"
"Well, it means it is a very, very emotional book," he responded.
