It seems to be the hot topic for discussion - TE has insulted Jodha to avenge his insult.
I seem to have a slightly different perspective. Its my opinion and am just sharing it to give alternate point of view.
1. The first instance - DEK where TE made Benny baby sit next to him. - TE called Ruqu babes to sit on one side. But did he call out for Jodha? Why did she get up even before her name was called? Was it becoz TE had called her one of his 3 khaas begums? But then there are '3' of them - so what made her think he would say her name instead of Salima? Jodha's arrogance put her in the place for humiliation.
2. TE telling MA to ask Jodha to leave - This shows compassion and not humiliation frm TE. Jodha's arrogance had already made her fall frm grace. Had she stayed on she would have been at the receiving end of pity which would have been worse. She could not leave of her own choice due to court ettiquette and respect for the musician. TE gave her the chance to leave and at the same time create an illusion that she left as an insult to TE. MA spoke only to Jodha and TE spoke very softly only to MA so noone could have actually heard what he said giving Jodha to leave the hall as a retaliation to his insult.
3. The Bazu band as an ornament for Benny baby's feet - Well look at it this way - Jodha has thrown TE's love back on his face by calling it lust - and pls all do not even try to say that she did not - pls watch the scene where she talks to TE in the epi of 18th - where she says he was only looking for a physical relation blah blah blah - Pls watch RT's face - there is a definite widening of eyes in sheer disbelief followed by anger - this seems to be a deliberate directorial presentation - TE is hurt more by this than her rejection. So Jodha first throws his love back on his face and then she comes personally to throw his gift back on his face - a gift given on the day when Ram Tanu Pandey made his musical debut in DEK. This was uncalled for - In fact this was Jodha's insult to TE. His love that she has thrown back at him he can only shed tears over but his gift that she has thrown back at him is meaningless to him - it was for her and if she does not want it he can throw it in the garbage heap - and he did just that.
4. The sword fight - Benny baby came looking for TE. TE as a conversational opening spks to her of sword fight and then offers to teach her. As she was not dressed for it he gets her to wear clothes meant for a woman and since Jodha is the only woman who does sword practice he tells her to wear those. There was no Jodha around for TE to be insulting so how this became an insult is beyond me.
As he teaches Benny baby the moves Jodha comes and stops in her tracks when she sees the 2 together - Abb na TE ko pata ki Jodha wahan hai na did he have an inkling that she would come - so how can this be an insult or trying to make Jodha jealous? The moment TE realised Jodha was there he got distracted and stopped the practice. It was Benny baby who tried the jealousy trick by offering to come to TE's room later to which he gave a half nod totally imperceptable - what else was he to do - say I am patni vrata so dont come!!!!
Abb kahan ka insult aur kahan ki jealousy mujhe toh abhi tak samajh mei nahin aayi!!!
