I will continue the other fiction but definitely at a slower pace. Meanwhile, enjoy the change in the scenery. The characters are taken from IPKKND but the plot is slightly different.
Character sketch
Astha Kirloskar
A 21 year old chirpy, beautiful, petite, quick witted girl who has just completed her graduation. She has great aspirations to study further, travel abroad, and get a successful career. However, destiny has other plans for her.
Kalindi is Astha's mother and a housewife. Avdhoot is her father and is a Govt. employee. They are a normal, middle class family.
Shlok Agnihotri
A 28 yr old good looking, brooding, silent yet successful entrepreneur. He has a painful past/love life with his fiance ditching him. That has made him cynical. He does not believe in love or the institution of marriage anymore. His father is Niranjan Agnihotri, who is the head of a group of educational institutions. Anjali Agnihotri is a housewife and is Shlok's mother. His relationship is strained with both his father and mother.
Shlok's only solace is his brother Varad, who chose to stay away from the family institution. He is a self made man.
Prologue
The Agnihotri household was bustling with activity and guests. A wedding was taking place. It was the wedding of Shlok Agnihotri, the younger son of the senior Agnihotris. He looked tall, handsome, and unsmiling in his grand wedding attire. Next to him stood a tiny girl who looked overwhelmed of all that was happening around her.
The usual laughter and glow was missing from the bride's face. She was looking tense and the faint smile that sometimes adorned her lips never reached her eyes. Her hands were locked in the front and she was looking quite lost!
