Indeed, She may have plans of her own, but I have a feeling that, Unless she turns out to be an implant of Anti-Jalaal Gang, Benzy might complete the Monumental task of making Jalaal Realise and accept his feelings for Jodha and Jodha the same for Jalaal...😳😉

superb Vicky. i wish tansen stays few more days and Jodha practices singing with him daily. WOW, what a scene... Jalal sword practicing with Benazir and Jodha practicing music with Tansen... zyada kaun jalega ye dekhne me mazaa aayega... Poor Jalal, i m sure just once he sees Jo with somebody else, next day Benazir ka pack up for sure...

I like this one of yours a lot, and in toto, Vicki, especially the part about your Burinazar.

I too have grown to like her,for all that she is like an overweight (the upper arms in particular), out of condition belly dancer in that ridiculous costume that is there only minimally. The woman just does not have the figure for that Amrapali costume, which needs either a Deepika Padukone or the original screen Amrapali, Vyjayanthimala. BN looks exactly like Bipasha Basu would have looked in it. The funniest scene yesternight was Ram Tannu Pandey goggling at this unlikely femme fatale!

But she is street smart, non-malicious and very, very sharp. She reads Jalal a hundred times better than Jodha does. I really admired her honesty in saying things upfront to Jalal about his preoccupation with Jodha.

Jodha's outbursts, first to Moti, and then sotto voce after the shamsheer scene, were curiously revealing. She literally had smoke coming out of her ears, and was green enough to delight any Save the Planet types.

I noted the standard ratri vyateet accusation, but previously she was accusing him, baselessly, of wanting to do it with her, and sharing this apprehension with even a strange daasi. Now she is furious that he is vyateeting his ratris with woh daasi. Jodha must learn to be logical, she cannot bar the poor chap from any ratri vyateet at all!😉I was hugely amused by her ranting to poor Moti.

Then, after the shamsheer scene, I was struck by Jodha's uncharacteristically contemptuous reference to woh daasi not having dared to wear her shamsheer practice costume unless the Shahenshah had told her to do so. Aha, I said to myself, see how the paragon is descending to good old fashioned jealousy!

I did not much like this gift comparison business; it is getting to be boring, and Jodha's halo hardly needs any further gilding. Suggestions in the forum that Jalal might become jealous of RT Pandey seem to me to be too far out to even merit consideration.

Performance-wise, Jalal won hands down, especially the sudden distracted look on his face as he spots Jodha while fencing with Burinazar. Also the slightly shamefaced look with which he fobs BN off and winds up the session abruptly, while trying to keep the retreating Jodha in his field of vision. It was as well he stopped, otherwise BN might have ended up pinking him unintentionally!

Jodha was far too standard issue, angry heroine to merit much praise. All in all, good corny fun today, would you not agree?

Hmm, so our kohl-eyed Kabul Import -cum-Abul-Mali-ki-Maalgaadi Burinazar... i mean, Benazeer may be a Flamingo Vamp ... she maybe an over-ambitious Kaneez wanting to climb the ladder that goes upto Jalaal, but the woman is not a caricature-ish nautch girl YET...

Today, we saw JJ from Burinazar's POV. She is dark , lowly , a plaything going by the definitions of 16th century - but she is perceptive. She is worldly wise and she is someone who has been there , done that and all that jazz. That's why , it didn't take her more than 60 seconds to realize that Jalaal is in love with Jodha. She was bold enough to tell this to him in his face , to confess it with wonder and a secret sentiment to her maid.

BZ saw how Jalaal's eyes never left Jodha's face even while he was talking to BZ and giving her that second-hand gift. She read how Jalaal was least bit interested in her voluptuous sexuality. She saw how colour went from Jalaal's face the moment Jodha was told to leave by him. Later, while doing the pet Mughal passtime of taking a bath, BZ tells her maid that for the first time, she has seen a man who has eyes for that one woman - his own wife , and just how those eyes don't slip on anything else of beauty and glitter. Does that actually happen for real? Can someone arrest and capture your attention like that? WOW!

Yep, BZ has designs on Jalaal as we found out - but today, she had no qualms in giving credit where it is due - and that's why she didn't mind sounding like a JJ fangirl.

And does Burinazar stop at all from forcing Jalaal to face the fact that Jodha is his most beloved beghum. She doesn't. During the swordfight ( which was really like mentor-student BTW), BZ sees that Jalaal lost hold of his sword because he was distracted by Jodha , who was standing there throwing arrows of fire at him. She even tells Jalaal - Grow up, Shahenshah! You were not teaching me . You were teasing your beloved Beghum. Jalaal goes away... mumbling , fumbling and his eyes following Jodha until she goes out of his sight.

And there stands Burinazar , almost laughing at how obvious Jalaal's love is for Jodha. Amused. Impressed. Starry-eyed. So, here is a man who has eyes for just one woman and no hybrid variety of beauty can take away that gaze. The gaze that Jalaal has for Jodha...

Compared to yesterday, Jalaal was vulnerable today. He put his worst face in front of Jodha today - insulting her , giving the gift he gave to her to a Kaneez who turned a bangle into an ankle-cuff , telling her to leave so that he could give his attention to a Kaneez... but as soon as she went out , the emotional disturbia returned as Burinazar almost threw it in his face that he truly loves Jodha - " Lagtaa hai aapki sabse chaheti Beghum hain, varnaa aisaa ho hi nahin sakta ki Benazeer saamne khadi ho aur aapki nazar unpar se hatte hi nahiin." ...and Jalaal goes away...wallowing in the hurt he is suffering and causing. Sacch sunne ki taaqat kahaan hotee hai insaan meinn?

Jodha? A WOUNDED TIGRESS... WITH A TWIST... All the howling , screaming was within the four walls of her Hojraa. Not in front of Jalaal. She could say nothing GHRINAATMAK to Jalaal but all the pent up fury, the emotional trauma, the pain of self-respect shredding came like an avalanche on Moti. Jodha was burning on the inside with whatever Jalaal had done - to an extent that she had no sense of being exposed to cold. The tears were more of hurt , injury and tattered self-worth. She remembered all the lovely things that Jalaal had told her in his drunken stupor and then, she mouthed the 360 degree that Jalaal had done on those words. Moti was confused - she couldn't really figure out what Jodha was exactly angry about? Jalaal hurting her Rajputana honour or hurting the woman inside her. ... Tutt, tutt. Ab Jodha ko khud hi nahin pataa ki wo gussa kyun hai exactly , toh Moti ne toh What-The-Falooda look denaa hi tha na.

Ideally, Jodha shouldn't be even wanting to see Jalaal after all the beizzati sessions , but the next day, when she sees Jalaal teaching swordfighting to Burinazar , she can't help but stand rooted on the spot, abuse and curse Jalaal with her eyes until he drops the sword due to her nain-kataariz... tears make a comeback again as she storms off , glaring at Jalaal and hating on Burinazar... Yep, guys, Jodha DETESTS Burinazar. Totally.

RAW EMOTIONS. So visible that every perceptive person can read them like the back of their hand. Jodha is traumatized by Jalaal and Jalaal is traumatized by Jodha. Interestingly, the trauma is because of molten emotions, not mistakes or intentional hurt.

For the rest, Maaham should stop wasting time on Ruqqu, Ruqqu should eat , drink and grow as huge as a turkey. Jodha's and Tansen's scene was good as it concentrated on letting go of prejudices and having an open heart. Hameeda reminding Jalaal of the TEHZEEB-TAUR-TAREEKE of the Mughal Court was BANG ON.

Still, the best part of today's episode stays Burinazar's POV of JJ. She is trouble but at least she had the honesty and guts to see and say things as they are.
