It's interesting that Nandini, the sister of the chief female protagonist in Ek Boond Ishq, is being modelled on a stereotype that is a relic of some outdated thinking, where a girl is born to marry, and make a good match, i.e., marry rich.
Unfortunately, or fortunately for current times, Nandini just about managed to save herself from falling prey to her desires. She has got a second chance to redeem herself.
We've learnt in a couple of episodes that Nandini enrolled herself in some fashion designing classes, albeit with ulterior motives, as regards to entrapment of Aditya. But, would it not be great to see her realize that apart from her "Adi" goal, she has a rethink on her options and may be, through some with-love counselling from Yug, she manages to put her "Adi-jaap" aside while she concentrates on her studies, career, and interns somewhere?
Hunar Hali does play the role with ease, but her character does need more depth or dimension. How about adding a few more layers to her character and making it more multi-faceted?
Until now, she comes across as a selfish elder sister, whose only goal is to trap the young, rich, playboy Aditya, the younger brother of the chief male protagonist. She is also shown as someone who has low self-esteem, when compared to her younger sister Tara, and that she harbors some complaints as to her mother's negligence of her vis-a-vis her mother's love for Tara. She is also shown to be conniving, although she does not seem to be smart enough or shrewd much.
Just a suggestion, nothing much to it! Not that we are complaining or so, but a random thought from character-perspective, that's all.
