And she stormed off to their bedroom. Arjun was standing in the middle of the hall, trying to figure out what just happened and also trying to prepare himself for the upcoming calamity.
He just was trying to give his wife a surprise in their wedding anniversary. So he just asked one of his female colleagues to go for shopping to buy a gift for his wife. And when he saw his wife in the mall staring bizarrely to them, he thought of teasing her a bit by going close to her; well, pretending of kissing her. But the result of his little mischief was this disastrous that she gone wild at him right now.
From last two days she behaved extremely cold to him, she neither voiced a word to him, nor looked at him once. He could smell a threat, but today when the silence became unbearable to him, he tried to talk with her and she avoided him. & finally he managed to put himself in a big trouble. A heated argument started about half an hour ago...which ended up to this.
She came out with her big luggage and marched towards the door. Arjun missed a heartbeat !! She's leaving the home!! & him!!
-HEY!! Where are you going !! You can't leave like this!!
-Yes I can & I will. Now move aside.
-No!! Plz, don't do this!!
-I am doing this, Arjun. Just get out of my way.
-Plz, Yaar. It's such a trivial matter...

And she just left. Arjun gaped at her retreating form, helplessly. He looked at his life is abandoning him. He felt his vision became blurry.
He didn't realize for how long he was knelt down on the doorstep. His phone buzzed & he took the call without looking at the display.
-Why you are sitting at the doorsteps like a fool. Go inside.
-You... you...
-What? If you are expecting me to hiding somewhere, watching you and giving you directions, then you are wrong Mr. ACP.

-You are just too predictable. & don't try to say or do anything, I'm not coming back.
She cut the call and sighed. She had to do this...To teach him a lesson. He dared to play with her emotions. She knew he's not cheating on her, but he pretended so. He didn't even thought once, how she would feel seeing him with someone else. He has no idea about that. You tried to mess up with my emotions, now it's my turn.
He went inside his bedroom and found the room was perfectly arranged. Like any other day, but today something is missing. He felt something has changed into this room, no...actually not this room, the whole house has changes since she left this place. He brought out that pendant he bought for their anniversary. But now, he can't give it her.
He didn't realize how the entire day passed without her. He was sitting numb beside his bed, staring at the pendant. Suddenly a breaking sound brought him to reality. He looked at the source of the sound; he saw a ray from street light coming into the dark room through his bedroom window. Somebody threw a stone to break it.
The cop inside him took the charge, and he took his gun and moved to his broken window to see who did it. But, Bulls Eye !! the next stone hit his chest. It was enough to pull the red cloth in front of a bull and he opened the window and started calling names of that mannerless thief.
-Language ACP.!!
That voice stopped him. Arjun felt he was hallucinating. There, in the lawn, a beautiful lady in white dress was sanding holding a big luggage in her left hand and a..he rubbed his eyes. Was it she? Really she came back?
-You...you're back?
-Why expecting anyone else? You moron!!
-Just wait a second.
-Don't!!...come from the door. I can't take you to hospital right now.
He sprinted to the main door.
There she is!! The most beautiful girl he ever met Standing in front of him. She's back. & he knew this time he can't lose her again. So he just pulled her into his arms, in a tight hug.
-Leave me, you beast!! I can't breathe.
-NO!!
-Ok!! Then lose your hold.
-NO!!
-I promise I'm real and I'll not going to vanish in the air.
-I don't believe you. OOCH!
She pinched him.
-Now leave!!
-First promise you'll never play such terrible pranks with me again.
-It wasn't prank. I really left you.

-Because I can live an entire day without you, not two days, or a week, or a month ,or a year, or my entire life. I had to come back.
-& Now, I'm not letting you do that again.
-Hmm..but at last release me from your hold. I can't breathe.
He parted the hug but didn't released her, he held her hand tightly.
-Aahh!!
-What happened!!
-That thorn!!
She brought out two red roses.
-For our second anniversary.
-Only two?
-It's 2nd anniversary Arjun, not 20th. So,What had you planned for today?
- Well...
- You thought thank god my wife left, so I'm a free bird now...
- No !! I was upset..

-I'm the happiest man in the world.
He hugged her again.

It was almost dawn. She was sitting beside the window, looking at the enlightened sky. Arjun stirred up into his sleep and called her name. She turned her gaze to that sleeping man.
-Where are you?
- I'm here.
- Come here, why you left me now?
She smiled at his question. She Went to the bed and sat on the floor, facing his sleeping form.
-Why I left you & why I came back? You never know that. If you, then you never understand why I did so. I left because I want you to feel the pain I felt when I saw you with someone else. I wanted you to feel that fright of losing someone. And I came back for us, and for the happiness in your eyes I saw after seeing me again. I loved those sparkles, that happiness, and those happy tears in your eyes. That made me the happiest person in the world & I can give my life for that. That happiness is the best gift I could plan for our wedding anniversary. Happy Anniversary, sweetheart.
