I guess this is as original as it can get if starplus is concerned. So if someone really wants to see pure mahabharat then it would be better to watch the purana wala mahabharat.
Weirdly, it is in this mahabharat that even the most minor characters are being given so much importance, substance and scenes.
I still havent forgotten how the portrayed Dhritrashtra in the old one ... week and desperate and how many shots did shikhandi have in it anyways?
I guess it is a matter of different perspective and point of view. You would say it is misleading, i would say it is more entertaining and watchable than the old one for me. If someone is interested in knowing Mahabharat than the person will just have to read the original Vyas version to really understand it and know the events as they really were. Even the old one had faults in it.
At least no is falling asleep watching this one, too busy being baffled and dumbfounded by the antics of the makers.😆
