How I wish Ekta came up with plots that seemed realistic. She seems to have forgotten that this is a historic show about a love story that happened in 16th century. Hence her constantly showing viewers that a wife would repeatedly declare her unwillingness in giving her tan-man seems very unrealistic. We are going to be watching a 21st century show, where a man with bruised ego takes revenge by making the woman jealous. Now that I have it out of my system, can proceed to writing about today's episode.
I always wondered when would there be a time when Jodha willingly places her hand in Jalal's hand. She has always been very hesitant and reluctant about giving her hand in Jalal's hand. Meaning, she has been not able to trust Jalal at all in the past. Today when she was ready to take Jalal's hand, it was so sad that it did not suffice. Jalal expected much more and ended up getting hurt as Jodha was way behind in her feelings. He was completely drunk, yet was so clear about what he was feeling. For the first time we see Jalal who bares it all - his feelings and desires. He had started the journey with a goal of breaking her pride. Without his realization that journey made a turn, where he wanted Jodha to understand him. He wanted to win her and yet admitted that he lost in front of Jodha's self respect. Jalal is a man in love and that realization hit him after Jodha's confession. Don't worry Jalal, Jodha is not far from falling in love either.
Jodha reaches out and holds his hand willingly for the first time. Jalal is still dumbfounded even though he knows Jodha loves him. She has shown so much reluctance in holding hand and taking the next step, that this act shook Jalal. He becomes even more vulnerable. Yet again he confirms if she meant what was written in the letter. The joy is so visible when Jodha accepts that every word in that letter was from her heart. After he is completely sure about Jodha's feeling, he takes the next step of admitting his feelings. Jalal declares that they belong to each other now. Jodha who had been happy till now, realizes that Jalal is asking for something that she isn't ready for. Jodha immediately clarifies that she does not love him and did not ask him to spend the night in her room. Jalal must have remembered his badi ammi's tips and continues to pursue Jodha. It looked like unlike Jalal, Jodha knew where her feelings for Jalal stood. She has acknowledged that she trusts, respects and admires him. She considers him as a friend, but is very clear that she is not ready to take it any further yet. The shenshah that was no where to be found, shows up like a roaring zakhmi sher after the rejection. Both JaJo are left in complete shock and dismay.
Jalal recollects Jodha's words and relives the rejection. His understanding at this stage is that Jodha intentionally mislead him, so that she could put him down. His anger is intense because first Jodha did not reciprocate his feelings and second she knows about his feelings. I wonder if even tomorrow or after few days will Jalal be in a stage where he wonders why would Jodha want to hurt him or his ego. His trust in MA is so strong that not for a moment is he going to doubt about the letter being manipulated. He had an opportunity to check with MA if she read the letter right the next day, but he refuses to talk to her and goes to Ruqu instead. How exciting would it be if Ruqu returns the favor that Jodha did to her by solving this mystery. Jodha on the other hand repents what happened yesterday night and is ready to apologize to Shenshah. She understands that his ego has been hurt, but does she understand that Jalal actually loves her. May be she knows, but MA made sure that Jodha does not think in that direction. Jodha might now feel that Jalal never really meant what he said yesterday night. MA has indeed created a vicious trap for JaJo, its not going to be easy coming out of this one.
MA has been working really hard since her son got locked up in prison. A golden opportunity lands in her hand when Jalal asks her to read the letter sent by Jodha. We have heard that folks who take risks and instant decision are the most successful in life. I never thought this would hold true in case of MA. She takes the risk and manipulates the letter. She creates the atmosphere for Jalal to feel romantic and makes sure that he goes to Jodha's room. She even tips him on how Jodha might show nakhras and act shy to make sure that Jalal does not give up easily. Does her act end here? MA feels her hands have touched a gold mine and wants to keep working hard till she has obtained it. Next day, she reaches out to Jalal to see if she can poison him further. Thankfully, Jalal decides to talk to Ruqu about it. I wonder if MA will reach to Ruqu before Jalal and poison her as well. MA's next stop is begum Jodha, and makes sure that any signs of patch-up from Jodha's side are ruined. MA tells Jodha exactly the thing that would make Jodha not see Jalal. MA is determined to get Jodha out of Agra. So far her plan seems to be going well in that direction. I wonder what other chaal she is going to pull out for Jalal to be so mad that he sends Jodha away. MA is on a mission and I do not see Jalal in a condition to stop her. Jodha is the only one who can fail MA's mission, lets see if she succeeds.
Precap: MA continues her games by making sure that Jalal stays happy. This way Jodha feels that Jalal's admission of his feelings were all lies. Okay, MA helped Jalal realize his feelings for Jodha by bringing tansen and manipulating the letter. She is now bringing the other woman so that Jodha realizes her feeling for Jalal. Isn't she the sweetest lady ever?
