Oh, dark and gloomy days
Are they really here to stay?
The thought I cannot bear,
Oft' I wonder - do you care?

The future, we had planned,
A lifetime in wonderland!
This heart of mine I gave to you.
You felt the same way too.

I am happy when you're here,
But sad without you dear.

Amrit, actually Heena Khan isn't a professional writer. Writing poems is her interest, just like you and me. But she writes so well that she is no less than a professional writer!! 👏
