I was sitting, working on a VM when MEIEJ started and this is what happened.
Just a heads up that I'm Punjabi and I tend to speak Punjabi with only my dad. No one else in my family, I prefer English with my mom and siblings. But since I spoke Punjabi, I'm going to attempt writing it in Punjabi (I suck at typing Punjabi). The English translation will be in brackets next to it.
Me: Nahi daddy! Main nahi like kardi yeh show. (No daddy, I don't like this show!)
Dad: Kyun? (Why?)
Me: Because! Oh RK the Madhu noo separate karde hai! (Because! They're separating RK and Madhu!)
Dad: Tho? Real life mein toh nahi separate karde! (So? They're not separating them in real life!)
Me: Haanji par mere vaste real anghu hai! (Yeah but for me it's like real!)
The show plays on and my dad sees the new girl.
Dad: Yeh kaunsi nahi lardki aagi? (What new girl has come now?)
Me: Pata nahi. Main nahi ohnoo like kardi. (I don't know. I don't like her.)
Dad: Leh, shrab peekeh best friends bangaye? (They just drank alcohol and became best friends?)
Me: DADDY! Channel change karo! (DADDY! Change the channel!)
The show plays on. My dad sees Paabo.
Dad: Yeh bhi dayaan koi kaam nahi. (This witch isn't any less.) 😆
Me: Pata! (I know!)
Dad: Sab unkhe peeche parde hai. (Everyone's after them.)
Me: Haanji. (Yup.)
The show plays on and then the scene comes on where Ria's like "I'm that girl that you've fallen in love with!" and RK just smiles.
Dad: Leh! Koi sharm nahi! Ek hi din mein pyaar ho gaya. Teri biwi ko ki ho gaya?! (He's not ashamed! He fell in love in one day. What happened to your wife?)
My dad finally changed the channel.
Me: THANK YOU!
Dad: Tere show noo ki ho gaya. (What happened to your show?)
Me: Pata nahi. CVs neh kraab kardiya. (I don't know. The CVs ruined it.)
Dad: Haan, aisa hi lagtha hai. (Yeah, it seems like it.)

I burst out laughing when my dad called Paabo a dayaan (witch) and when my dad changed the channel when he got annoyed LOL.
And this is why I love watching MEIEJ with my dad.
