iDubba's Top Indian Shows of the Year 2013
With the year coming to a fitting end, you must be wondering which one's made you stick to your television screen throughout the year. If one hand, you had daily soaps to keep you glued, on the other hand you had the high octane real life drama in reality shows. Right from drama, dance, singing to comedy, reality shows made a huge frolicking hit with the masses over the last year.
Let's see a few of them, which made a sharp impact on the audience.
Drama and more drama:-Shows or rather prime time soaps have always been creating raves with the masses, but while the old ones continued to create the stir, there were new ones on the block, to add that additional flavor.
Yes, you guessed it right new daily soap Jee Le Zara' has been a fresh take on conventional love story, giving the audience every right to think about age as the rightful parameter to fall in love. Unlike the clichd conventional love stories, this one has a fresh concept, a sizzling chemistry between the lead pair and of course Sangeeta Ghosh, who made a rocking comeback.
Talking about love stories, Zee TV gave us a the epic romantic saga of Jodha Akbar through its high profile Ekta Kapoor productions, which has made the nation love this epic love story once again.
Meanwhile, the oldies continued to rock, with more twists and turns, more adventure rides and of course a lot of ups and downs. Shows like Bade Achhe Lagte Hain', Balika Vadhu', Diya aur Baati Hum', Qubool Hai' and Madhubala- Ek Ishq Ek Junoon' have continued to create the same level of furor as last year. With year leaps, more negativity, sudden change in equations and brilliant thrilling end to conspiracies, the shows gave it all.
While so much happened, the reality shows gave us another level of entertainment. Dance reality shows gave us spine tingling and nerve wrecking dance performances by people from every age group, then programs like Bigg Boss 7' gave us the daily dose of thrill and drama, which we often lack in our real lives.
Just when the year's episodic version of drama and thrill was just getting over the top, the very laughable and adorable Kapil Sharma arrived and swept the entire nation with his show Comedy Nights With Kapil, jutting out that laughter bone in all of us. The show was an instant hit with its cast and ensemble.
Lastly, the silver screen witnessed an improvisation with an original and fast paced action thriller like 24', which marked the debut of several Bollywood stalwarts on TV. The show was one of its kind and yes stood rock solid with its effervescent script and strong plot and direction.
Let's hope the coming year will continue to give us some more fresh programs, with a touch of reality, along with our favorite soaps and reality shows. Share your Views, Reviews, Comments and Suggestions about this post on Twitter-iDubba and set reminders for your favourite shows on iDubba app.
