I think a lot has been said about how Kusum's soch is galat and how Kumud's soch is galat. And I agree that they are wrong. But to this I want to add that even Saras is highly wrong. While I agree he is right in not wanting to marry Kusum and he has every right to do so, it would have been nice if he was upfront about not wanting to marry Kusum to everyone when Kumud was emotionally blackmailing him. Instead he resorted to duping Kusum and the Desais and got Kusum married to his brother. While Kusum is highly selfish, it does not negate the fact that her consent is also important for a marriage. Not only did Saras wrong Kusum, but he also wronged Danny by hiding such a vital information about Kusum's feelings. I would have respected Saras more if he outrightly rejected Kumud's pleas and walked away without a care in the world. Marriage isn't a child's play that he can engineer one like this... no matter how good his intentions are.
