I am beginning from the suicidegiri scene of the serial.
Dev is sleeping and its morning. He does not have inkling as to what's in store for him today.
NT mom walks in and watches her lal sleeping but with such a strained expression on his face. (The tune chanda hain tu mera suraj hain tu playing in the background) And she thinks why does God have to be so cruel to my son. He has already suffered so much, lost his love. You give him a new hope to live for and take his very lifespan away from him. How is it possible for a person to give so many tests just to live? Why are you so cruel and how many tests are you still going to take. Please listen to a mother's heartfelt wish and give my son his happiness. Let him live and marry his love – Kaajjal, and let her live too........
She then wakes him opening the curtains and letting the morning sunlight filter into the room. Dev wakes up shading his eyes and then smiles a dimpled good morning to his Mom. "Why are you sitting and sleeping. You shall get a bad neck pain" Dev says, "Don't worry mom I am used to any pain. After all this heartache any pain seems like nothing!!" NT mom says "Don't worry Bhagwaan ke ghar me der hain andher nahin." Just then Dev's cell rings and NT mom sees that its Kaajjal's name flashing. She hands Dev the cell and looks down. Dev wonders who it is and on seeing Kaajjal's name, he gives a scared and strange look to his mom. She leaves.
Dev receives her call and she begins with "Good morning Dev, How are you?" He cuts her out and says "What is it? Why did you ring?" in reply. She says, "Never mind what I said yesterday. I am sorry about everything and I am ready to apologize to you. Can you meet me?" Dev is kind of confused with such a changed tune of Kaajjal and wonders what she is up to? "Okay, so you can tell me when I come to the office." K says, "No not the office, what I have to tell you should be done privately, where nobody is present and none shall listen to what we talk. I don't want to further embarrass you. Dev says okay without thinking at all as he is really confused with Kaajjal's strange behavior and suggestions. She says okay I want to meet you at that cliff where you took me the other day in half an hour. Dev is still preoccupied and says yes without thinking. K here is shown with a wistful and a sad smile playing on her lips and misty eyed she mutters" I love you Dev, you will see how much today!!"
The next scene is the one on the cliff. Kaajjal is waiting there at the edge looking down and they show Dev's car coming towards on the side. He gets off. Kaajjal is wearing a beautiful red sari. Dev is shocked to see her in a sari. He thinks "God why do you have to be so cruel? How many tests will I have to give you? She looks so amazingly beautiful in a sari. What is she up to? Why here?" He is thinking and taking heavy steps towards her. Kajjal has heard the car and slowly with eyes closed she turns around to face Dev as she has felt his presence. She opens her eyes to see Dev in a matching set of clothes. A red shirt under a jet-black suit. Closing her eyes tightly, she captures the whole of Dev's face and body in her heart and mind. As if etching his picture in her heart and soul. She then opens her eyes again and says"Thnaks for coming." Dev questioningly smiles and replies" I am glad too you realize that things are not going to work out. It is of no use to put your own life in danger to save mine." Kaajjal cuts him and asks him "Dev, you say that you don't love me" Dev replies cutting in," I did not say I don't love you, I do love you, so much that I will not allow you to let you give away your life in order to save mine" He looks away as he can't see the pain in her eyes and does not want her to see the indecisiveness in his eyes. He doesn't want her to know how much control he is exerting over himself. He wants to take her into his arms and marry her right away. The desperation makes him grab Kaajjal's arms and bring her close. He stares into her eyes and is lost. Kaajjal says," I know what you are thinking. You are being selfish. You are telling me that you can't see me die after I marry you. You can be selfish, but I am not allowed to be selfish in my love. So be it." Dev says, "No you must understand. I can't go through the same thing again. After great difficulty I have put the loss of Payal away from my heart. You have replaced that loss and I am scared to lose again. I know that I shall lose you, if you marry me. So please understand. You don't know what it feels like to know that you are soon going to die or someone you love and can't live without will leave you. You can see death in front of your eyes and you can't do anything." Kaajjal cuts him and says," then let me see it. If you don't allow me, how will I know?" Hearing this Dev is shocked and lets go of Kaajjal. He walks away from her putting distance between him and her as if trying to show that he doesn't care. Trying to cover his slip of control. He says," No I can't do it. Death is not a toy, that you wish to have and get it whenever you wish." Kaajjal says," Who are you to decide that. God has already decided that I will take your death upon me. Either way it will be me who will die. Not you. Now you have exactly 2 minutes to decide whether you want to let me die after marrying you or before." This statement of hers shocks Dev and he stops midway and turns to look at Kaajjal standing at the edge of the cliff. He thinks" What is she saying and realizes as soon as he turns about what she intends doing. He shouts, "No Kaajjal, it is not so simple." And takes a step gingerly towards her. She stops him saying," You have 2 mins and they start now. But don't take a single step without thinking for 2 mins else I shall jump immediately."
Then Dev tries to deter her from jumping. She refuses to listen and says that your 2 mins are up. And takes a step backwards. He shouts at her," No Kaajjal, don't do it" She is adamant. No amount of reasoning will deter her today. She prays to Gannubhaiya asking for strength to jump and takes another big step back and slips. Dev is running towards her shouting at every leap he is taking"Kaajjal, no don't do it" And then is shocked as she jumps backwards as he reaches the edge. He shouts "Kaajjal!!!!!" and the scene ends on his shocked face.
