Ruqaiyya Sultan seems to be the manifestation of the above said quote. Jodha was bang-on today when she said that the person standing between Jalaal and Ruqqu is not Jodha, but Ruqqu's blind megalomania. Even in this situation where her childhood friend and her husband is about to be separated from her , she is taking Jalaal's name in the same breath as " Hamaara Mallika-E-Ghaasphoos audha'. WTH! Audha ka paudha banaake sabzee khaayegi zindagi bhar?
Maaham was right . Ruqqu beghum hi reh jaayegi, biwi Jalaal ki Jodha hi hai aur saabit bhi hogee. There is no point in having a good side, Ruqqu , if that good side is SECONDARY to your I-AM-PRIMARY Obsession.
The last scene had ZERO impact with that letter because 12 minutes ago , I had heard Ruqqu singing Audha-Ka-Paudha. Khud se ishq acchi baat hai , lekin khud par guroor shaitaan ki nishaani hai. I am not at all surprised that just why would Jalaal fall into Jodha's lap like a ripe Alfonso mango. Jodha maybe a Type A arrogant idiot , but when she opens her heart, its a floodgate.
Its not that i don't feel bad for Ruqqu. I do. But her megalomania and self-centric existence puts me off.
It REALLY does.
Having a heart is not enough , if it doesn't beat for others.
