Geet walked aimlessly, she was dumbfounded. Her mind was blank. "The person who's face I did not want to see again was in front of me!" she muttered as she walked with a slow pace.Her eyes were swollen with tears,but still they did not stop rolling down her cheeks. She did not even bother to look at the people who looked at her. She wanted to shout,to cry loudly.She wanted to go to her mom and comfort herself.
On the other hand, Maan went looking for Geet. "God knows where she is? I hope she won't do anything wrong". He thought as his eyes scanned the crowd. "How to tell her that I was wrong,that I regret my decision and have been looking for her since I realized my mistake?Please God help me." He wanted to find Geet once again and tell her everything.As he was going, one of his colleague came in front of him and he stopped. "Hey Maan what are you up to?Looking for someone?" The guy winked. At that moment Maan felt like breaking his jaws but he only said,"Yes." and made his way without listening another word from him.
Geet was standing on a deserted corridor,her tears were unstoppable.All the painful memories gushed out.she cried inconsolably. 'Stop it Geet!",she chided herself but it seemed that today nothing could stop her tears.She remembered how when she used to feel sad Maan would come there like an angel and would wipe away her tears.angel!Huh!he was a devil in disguise,thought Geet. Her cheeks were red with anger and pain.Suddenly she heard footsteps behind her."Oh God!maybe Shikha has come", Geet thought and felt tensed. "She might have been looking for me,I must not show my tears in front of her, otherwise she will start shooting dozens of questions at me." She hastily wiped her tears and turned to go and was alarmed to find Maan standing there!
Geet was flabbergast.He was standing and smiling. Geet felt her knees go weak.She lowered her eyes and muttered,"How did he know I am here?" Maan came forward and replied,"Just like I came to know where you were when you were a kid". She looked up at him and glared.He quickly said,"Ok Ok when you were a teenager.Happy?" Geet still did not stop glaring at him but he answered her by giving a pleasant smile.
"What are you doing here?" asked Geet. "Oh Lord,I should have asked this question,Ok when you have already done that then will you kindly provide the answer for it". Anshuman said and grinned. "That's none of your business, Sir". Geet said brusquely and was about to go when Maan asked with seriousness,"Why were you crying Geet?"
Geet stopped, she clenched her fist and looked at Maan. Then said in a quavering voice,"You will know that better". Maan came closer and Geet stepped back.He could see the tension build up on her face.He moved back and replied,"What's this Geet,you think I am a fortune teller or something.How will I know why are you crying like a nursery kid. Are you missing someone?"
Geet looked at him with astonishment.Geet thought with disgust,"Its so difficult to get rid of me". She finally said nothing and ran from there but could feel Maan's eyes on her.He stood there for a while, then sighed,"She still hasn't changed. She is still a kid". He said to himself and smiled.
