...Dilemna...
She was never a social butterfly flittering around here to there.
Nope! She never mingled much, nor did she indulge in all those typical behavior a girl her age should have.
Her mind never wandered to those silly dreams of prince charmings in white horses who would snatch away stars from the sky and lay them at her feet.
Nah! These didn't happen and she'd trained her brain in such a manner that it only believed in practical and realistic situations.
May be that' why she didn't have a problem working with three men though she was the only girl.
She believed herself to be more mature and masculine than other girls, who spent there time gossiping about fashion, drooling over men and doing all sorts of absurd things.
Her life in ETF seemed picture perfect.
Little had she known that it would take a full 360 degree turn when he would just storm in, out of practically nowhere.
Little had she known she herself would end up doing all sorts of absurdities when he would manage to steal away her heart.
It had been her first case when she first met him or rather attacked him.
From here the connection built and started the journey of swollen egos, silent love and a vey silent heartbreak
from day one she had tried keeping their relation quite professional but him underestimating her irked her to that level where her personal feelings threatened to get exposed.
She didn't realize when and how but her resolve faltered and she fell deep and deeper in love with him.
Was it because she felt for the man's personal pain and sufferings, which's knowledge she stumbled upon unknowingly.
Or was it concern for his safety and sanity when she knew he was lone fighting his inner demons... Who knew!
But all she knew was for the first time and maybe the last, a man penetrated deep into her core and that realizaton shocked the wits out of inspector Riya Mukherji and try as she might she could niether forget nor overlook the fact that each passing moment her love for him increased but he remained indifferent.
They were in such close proximity but he was out of her reach.
After working with him for four long months she had started to understand him better,
she knew he had his reasons and well justified ones.
Engrossed fully in his work, he had no time for nonsense. But it was not his nature but circumstances that turned him into a cold brooding and grumpy man.
But only she had managed to catch a few glimpses of ACP Arjun Suryakant Rawte...
She had seen through the iron exterior of the cop and felt for the heartbroken guilty husband who loved his wife very very much and missed her each time he breathed
and now the only motive in his life left was to avenge her brutal murder.
It wasn't true that she didn't affect him.
Infact she affected him very much. Her words, her tender glances, her soothing gestures all those mattered alot.
But his indifference was just a facade to keep her away for he was aware she was seeing through his pretense and he was reluctant to show his vulnerabilities. He didn't want her to dream high and then fall flat on her face as he had nothing to offer her...
he was a broken man who had lost all desires to live...
he shouldn't be the choice of a lively girl like her...
it would be injustice..
he had had someone else in his life before and try as he might he could never give Roshni's place to Riya and all these thoughts prevented him to give in to his broken heart's plea to be loved again...
yes it was true he cared for her..
he felt relievesd in her presence.
he felt peace in her company
her subtle, gentle gesture and words did sooth him...
sometimes gave him the motivation also..
but she was Riya.. Riya his colleague, his friend..
and he couldn't and he felt he shouldn't extend her place beyond that.
but here she was going mad in her love for him.
she could niether express nor suppress...
both were in a strange dilemna...
one couldn't accept other couldn't forget.
