Part 12
Khushi looked at her Di, she was sitting on the bench in front of her. What has Di done? Agam ji at our place? For Dinner? With all of us? With Arnav ji? Khushi gulped imagining the situation! She closed her eyes and saw the panorama of Arnav ji and Agam ji trying to eat eachother through their seething glares in lieu of the Dinner.Hey Devi Maiya! Now what? But Agam ji is a nice person, he has saved Arnav ji. And if Arnav ji will come to know that Agam ji has helped him than may be he will make truce with him.May be their cold war will come to a cease fire. But what about this may be? But Arnav ji will understand. Yes, once he will come to know what Agam ji has done for him than he will understand him. He will not be mad at him than.But...but who is going to broke the news to him. Definitely not me thought Khushi than who? Di...smiled Khushi! She need to tell Di everything about Agam ji and Arnav ji. And so with a hesitant smile, she went and sat beside Di.
"Hmmm...Di? Hmm...you see that Agma ji...hmm...i want to tell something about him" started Khushi hesitantly.
"Yes, Khushi say. What is it?" encouraged Anjali.
"I want to tell that..hmm...that Arnav ji and Agam ji are not on good terms" said Khushi and waited for Di's reaction to this and soon got one
"What do you mean by that Khushi?" asked Anjali, confused.
"Hmm...di I mean that...that ...you see Agam ji... I meet him at mall and we had some misunderstanding..." and thus Khushi narrated whole fiasco of Mall and the Party. Once finished Khushi looked at Di who was looking at her as if she was talking French here and she didn't get a thing.
"Di? You heard right? What I said?" asked Khushi.
"Hmm...ya...ya I heard...put Chhote picking up fights just because of that Mall's vital incident is little unsettling with me. I mean he gets angry on literally everything but very rarely he reacts this way. And I don't believe that just because of Agam's questioning you about Aarav made Chhote react that way... I...I don't know...I will have to ask Chhote about this...But Agam seemed a nice person.." said Anjali, confused.
"Ya, Di I was also confused. You should have seen him at that party. He was acting so weird. As if waiting for just on trigger and he will blast any moment. And when I told him about the mall's incident than it was like the trigger he was waiting for and than he fired up on Agam ji" added Khuhshi to Anjali's confusion.
"Di but now you have invited him for the the dinner and I am very afraid for Arnav ji's reaction. How will he react to this? " asked Khushi.
"It's ok, Khushi. See Agam is not a bad person, he brought Arnav hospital and also gave him his blood. I will talk to Chhote he will understand and whatever misconception Chhote has about Agam will be cleared" suggested Anjali.
"Yes yes Di, you go and make him understand everything , I am sure he will listen to you.." said Khushi relieved that her Di has saved her from the hot water situation.
Anjali only hummed in reply. And they both saw the nurse coming out of Arnav's room.
"Excuse me, Mam, you both can meet the patient, he is awake now." informed the nurse.
They both got up and headed towards the room.
Anjali entered the room first and saw Arnav sitting on the bed, leaning backward. Anjali limped towards her brother and sat beside him on the bed.
"Chhote how are you feeling now?" asked Anjali, placing her hand on her Chhote's cheek, concerned.
"I am fine, Di! How are you?" replied Arnav taking his Di's hand in his.
"I am fine, Chhote" smiled Anjali.
"You should have not came here, Di. I was fine" said Arnav not liking that his Di has came here leaving her all work.
"Don't be ridiculous, Chhote! You met with a accident and you needed me here. And you are saying I should have not came?" chided Anjali.
"why are you saying that Arnav ji? Aren't you happy seeing Di.its good that she came here otherwise I thought that she has forgotten all of us" complained Khushi with a pout, went and hugged Anjali from behind.
Anjali only smiled in return.
"I didn't mean that way, Khushi!" said Arnav.
"Ha, hum jaante hai aap ka kya matlab hai, laad Governor"
"Khushi!!"
"Oh , stop it you two! " interefered Anjali.
"I am not here to see you both fighting. You both behave yourself and I will go and meet the Doctor. I will ask him when we can take you home." Said Anjali, got up from the bed and left the room.
...
After having a word with Doctor Anjali again started towards Arnav's room.
Doctor has informed that in two hours they can discharge Arnav. Now she was thinking how will she break the news of Agam's Dinner to Arnav. She will make him understand that Agam is not a bad person. She will tell him how he has helped him. He has also given him his blood! And with that positive thought Anjali entered the room.
"Chhote, Doctor has said that you can leave in few hours." informed Anjali with a smile.
"That's good, Di! I just hate hospitals" Arnav expressed her displeasure.
"I know that Chhote" smiled Anjali.
Anjali looked towards Khushi. She was indicating something by craning her eyes towards Arnav. Typical Khushi. With a sigh, Anjali prepared herself to talk to her Chhote.
"Hmmm...Chhote? do you remember anything after your accident?" asked Anjali, trying to start carefully.
"What do you mean. Di?" asked Arnav, confused.
"I mean how you reached Hospital. Who brought you?"asked Anjali.
"I don't remember anything, Di. After I hit my head, I don't remember anything after that." Replied Arnav .
"Oh! I see. The thing is that, Chhote that a man helped you to get here and he also gave you his blood to save you... " said Anjali.
"So? Just pay him for what he did..." suggested Arnav.
"Arnav you see the man...hmm...that man..." But Anjali was interrupted by a exclaiming Khushi.
"Hey Devi Maiya!! Arnav ji its 1 pm. Aarav will be home and I am here. He will reach home to find there's no one in the house.Di, I will have to go home now!" said Khushi, hurriedly.
"Khushi it's ok, you go home I and Chhote will come after Doctor will discharge him" suggested Anjali.
"OK, Di! I will go home now. You both come soon." And with that Khushi left the hospital to reach RM.
Anjali looked towards her Chhote, he was massaging his forehead. Must be hurting! Seeing her brother's state she thought of carrying out with the conversation later.
...
"Mom, where were you? There's nobody in the house!" Aarav complained, seeing his Mom entering the living room.
"I am so sorry baby. But you don't know what happened today!" replied Khushi moving towards Aarav.
"What do you mean, Mom?" asked Aarav, curiously.
"Woh...Aarav, Arnav ji if fine now but today he met with an accident on his way to office!" Khushi looked towards with a somber look.
"What?!" cried out Aarav.
"He is fine now, Aarav. Anjali Di has also arrived, she is with Arnav ji. " informed Khushi.
"But when he will come home? Can't we visit him?" asked Aarav, concerned.
Khushi went towards Aarav hugged him.
"He is fine, Shona. He will come home soon. Then you can meet him." Khushi comforted her worried son.
"Common now, you will be hungry! I will prepare something for you. I think Nani ji is still not home. You just go and freshen up, I will make something for you..." Khushi broked the hug and ushered Aarav to go upstairs.
...
"Dad, how are you, now?" Aarav ran towards his father as soon as he saw him entering the house.
"I am fine, Aarav!" Arnav assured, ruffling Aarav's hair.
"Bua, how are you?" Aarav asked to his Bua who had accompanied his father.
"I am perfectly fine, Aarav. How are you?" Anjali asked and moved towards Aarav.
"I am fine. I missed you so much" Aarav hugged his Bua.
"Awww... I too missed you, baby." Anjali reciprocated the hug, happy seeing his nephew after so long.
Arnav smiled seeing them and saw that Khushi enetered the scene with a plate in her hand.
"Aarav, your lunch is ready. Common have it, its already late." Said Khushi and saw the Arnav ji and Di are home.
"Arnav ji and Di, you are home. You both also go and freshen up, I will make the lunch ready." Khushi smiled at both.
And after moments later, everyone had there lunch peacefully. And also informed Nani, who has just return from her friends home about morning's incident.
...
Arnav looked at the sleeping form of Khushi and smiled. It's 6 pass 30 and she will soon get up for her daily chores. Today is a very big day. It's his Khushi's birthday and he his all set to make the day very special for her. Arnav hugged Khushi close to him and breathing in her divine odor, he kissed her neck softy.
"Hmm...Arnav ji, sone dijiye na..." Khushi pleaded, sluggishly.
"Then sleep na ...who is disturbing you? You sleep." Said Arnav against Khushi's neck.
Khushi feeling ticklish due to Arnav's stubble, pushed him lightly.
"You...you are disturbing me...chain se sone bhi nahi dete...Hey Devi Maiya hum ne aapka kya bigada tha ki aise Laad Governor ko hamare palle baanth diya" Khushi complained to her Devi Maiya, angry on her Laad Governor for waking her up.
"Accha, now you are feed up of me. But let me remind you, you are tied up with me for seven lives, thanks to your all rituals, so you see there's no way out." Arnav pulled Khushi by her waist and again hugged her.
"Ha...woh toh hum jaante hai. Laad Governor! Don't you have any work today?" asked Khushi leaning more in to her Arnav ji.
"I have. That's what I am doing!" replied Arnav.
"What do you mean?" Khushi pulled back to look at him.
"Happy Birthday, jaan!" Arnav kissed her on her lips.
Khushi has completely forgotten about her birthday and now seeing her Arnav ji himself reminding and also being the first one to wish her, her lips broke into a beautiful smile.
"Thank you, Arnav ji! I had completely forgotten! But you have not" Khuhsi hugged Arnav, very much happy.
"How can I forget about this. I was preparing for this day from weeks and you thought that I will forget it, no way, jaan!" Arnav replied.
"What?! What were you planning" Khushi asked looking at Arnavji, wanting to know the surprise.
"You will get to know about that but not now" and with that Arnav moved out of the bed.
"Arnav ji! This is not fair! It's my birthday today...you can't deny me" Khushi shouted seeing that he was now entering the washroom.
"Better try next time, sweetheart. This is not going to work" and with teasing smile Arnav slammed the washroom door.
Khushi slumped back on the bed.
"Laad Governor. It's my birthday or his? Hamesha aapni hi chalate rehte hai" But suddenly Khushi's expression changed. "Hey Devi Miaya! It's my birthday! It's my birthday!! Agam ji's dinner. Hey Devi Maiya saach main humne aapka kya bigada hai. Agam ji.Di!!!" and shouting for her Di, Khushi jumped out of her bed and made a dash for Di's room.
...
Anlaji heard the loud knock on her door and opened her eyes.
"coming!!" and Anjali got up from the bed to open the door and as soon as the door opened...
"Di, it's my birthday today!!" Khushi announced.
Anjali stared at Khushi unable to believe that Khushi was knocking so loudly just to remind her that it's her birthday today which she has not forgotten.
"Amm...Khushi...no need to remind me. I know that. But as you are here, so happy Birthday" Anjali greeted with a smile.
Khushi stared at her Di. Who is reminding about the birthday. She is here to inform the holocaust it is going to follow.
"Di, I am not here to remind my birthday. Agam ji! Your invitation. Now you got what I trying to remind" asked Khushi, nodding her head up and down.
Anjali looked at Khushi with her wide eyes.
Khushi smiled seeing her Di's reaction.
"Now you got, Di! And you have said that you will talk to him and still you have not done that" Khuhsi said, now worried, her nails between her teeth.
Anjali too stared at Khushi, worried.
"Khushi!!! where is my blue T-shirt!!!" Anjali and Khushi heard Arnav's shout.
Both looked at each other.
"Di, it's now your job to take care of your Laad Governor brother. I done know why I am not getting good feeling today."
And with that Khushi started towards her room, leaving Anjali to think how to inform her Chhote about Agam's dinner visit.
