No divorce is needed.

Jalal can simply say that law is valid for all marriages.

Including past ones.

But instead of divorcing every relation (of past), the decision is left to the wife who was forced into it.

Whether she wants a divorce or not.

This will keep Ruqqu happy as no divorce needed. Also Adham cannot marry that girl.

Also it protects the people of the land. Mainly women.

Yup that's what another member supposed and that's what I thought would happen too...but in this serial Jalal needs a day to come up with a solution..so he's taking this day to reel from the shock of it all..

that or Jodha will again save the day for her husband and his wife 😆

I don't know Muslim laws, so correct me if i m wrong. but if he brings this new law, and if it is said that it is for all marriages , even previous one, then his marriage to Ruku is invalid. and when marriage is invalid, then there is no need for divorce also. they can simply get married , saying they want to make their relationship valid now and within the frame of law.
