Yes... Akbar did marry many more times. One significant was in Kabul or Kashmir (not sure) he married a Christian woman probably Portuguese ... am not sure.

But, in Akbar - nama - his biography he does mention that he should not have married after his wedding to his childhood sweetheart Ruqaiyya.

He gave lots of importance to both Ruq and Jodha as she (jodha) is the one who gave him his kids. But, its also a fact that he understood how painful its for Ruq to be childless in those days and never demeaned her in any way. Its true also that Salim was closer to Ruq's than Jodha. It is Ruqqaiyya who constantly tried to patch up both Akbar and Salim. Moreover, Ruqaiyya was also responsible for Salim (jehangir) marrying Noorjehan which to an extent stopped his wayward lifestyle.

Interesting question... Depending on "when" it might take away the image of Jalaal we've getting used to..

Recently I read that there were clashes between him and Salim regarding Anarkali... Something I wasn't aware of...All along thought it was only Salim that went berserk over Anarkali.
Anycase why I bring it up is it looks like the image of real Akbar was a lot different from the Jalaal we are seeing...

Akbar got married many times after he wed Jodha & after she became MUZ!

Yes there were clashes between father & son regarding Anarkali. Kali was actually Akbar's concubine. She was un-believably gorgeous & beautiful! Legend goes, that Salim saw her in the hall of mirrors & fell in love at first sight. Akbar later heard news that his beloved son had fallen in mad love with his concubine & wants to marry her. It was on this pt that they fought. With Jodha clearly siding with her husband.

Akbar couldn't digest that he wanted a mere concubine as the future Empress of India.

🤣 Not Bikaner!
My aunt hates this show & she'll bring a petition against the show if they show anything related to her home state.

i think they are done with the rajput side and will not risk showing anymore alliance šŸ˜†

they may introduce a fictitious character some new bandhi who wishes to be the beghum or else another new beghum who wishes to take jodha's place and then make her the vamp trying to create rift between Ja and Jo

I hope they do that. Just not Bikaner. Or any other state from that state. They'll take them down.
