Hypocricy ..Thy Name Is Agnihotris .

Agnihotris are the example of hypocrisy , have double standards . Shalok was going to get award for his contributions in the field of educating girls and opening new institutions . Publicly talk of idealism , Shalok goes on singing the the songs of his fathers greatness , does he ever realize that his father could not take stand where his sister was or he himself ? Did he tried to ring her and ask about her when he knew she was being tortured . But how can Shalok when he himself is mentally tormenting his own wife . He is his father,s son where he is unable to read the pain whether its his mother or wife .
Shalok is very confusing soul , today when talking to his father ,it was obvious he married Astha just to settle scores with her for insulting his father .
How can they talk of social Upliftment of woman when they treat them as mute animals in their own place . Does Shalok ever raise his voice against the injustice when done to Kavya ,He does not like but does nothing and goes on with his work .

He feels very strongly with the world hatred where he thinks his mother to be responsible for removing Swati from his life and has not forgiven her , uses very harsh tone when talking to her and is dead for him . But on other side a girl who unknowingly became the cause of ruining the reputation of his and his family,s , he took her revenge by tieing to himself for whole life . In his twisted mind he thinks by blackmailing her , she will stay with him forever . But where is hatred in his eyes or expressions now . If he reaLLY HATED HER HE WOULD HAVE IGNORED HER , NOT TELLING HIS REASONS AND THAT WOULD HAVE BEEN MENTAL TORTURE FOR HER . So Shalok himself is not sure of his agenda , i find him to be hypocrite who can not read his mother,s face , is being selfish . He listens to her mother,s traditions , rituals and all when his father is also standing there . He is sharp who could read Astha like a book but why he closes his eyes when it comes to his mother .

Nice post Neeraja.The biggest issue is the indifference. He claims to love his sister, yet he never goes to her house or call her. Similarly,he loves kavya yet he never question it that why can't she eat with them. So, i guess he loves aastha a lot too because he gets worried if can't find her on entering the house

What a irony Neelum , the girl he knew just for 3 odd months , he get worried but ever he tried to read her mother,s face which rarely smiles . His Love definition is very twisted . He needs to introspect himself first , why still is clinging to Swati,s mementos ? Why his father never speaks against the rigid , age old ,termite ridden customs . If he wants he can stop but he let Anjali become the scape goat . And Shalok who can read people kundli and knows how to change his strategy , is so dumb when it comes to his mother . Or i have seen in real life where children from abusive father / family , thinks this is the way of life and its normal .

His father should have been in politics , he is fit for that and may be in near future he can join politics . Till Shalok knows his father,s truth and feel compassion from heart for others , he is going to be following his father,s foot steps , not fully .

yes i felt while watching Shalok with Niranjan . , patting himself for his revenge drama . Does he really love her , a man of contradiction.

Agreed. but the who would want to think bad about their parents. His father is a loving dotting caring parent in his life, he can't even in his wildest imagination think that something is wrong.

With aastha, the thing is she can't hide anything, whatever she feels, is on her face for rest of the world to see.

How come Neelum a child will not know if something is wrong . Children also have instincts if something is not right . He goes on lashing his mother and Niranjan is standing there like outsider .
Yes Astha is open book now and how long she will be . Do you think she will let her parents read her face . Anjali was alone to cope this demon with no support , this is the reason i am more interested in knowing Anjali,s past . Did her parents threatened Niranjan for abusing their daughter and then Niranjan did the same with Anjali as Shalok is doing now . Shalok is not extreme really very confusing . one has to clear your head when talking about shalok .
