Wonder why this serial has pyaar in the title when there is nothing remotely connected to pyaar here.
Showing so much of wife abuse just spreads more negativity and disillusionment. Shlok, NA and Jyothi's hubby - all abuse their wives and when the husband is good like Shloks older brother - he has a scheming wife. The moral is that there are no good people in this world (Astha and her family are exceptions) Wonder what they want to achieve

Real life is bad and showing this in reel does not help in any way.

Love begets love and hate begets hate. Lets spread love guys... :)

Purely my POV.

Suddenly, the forum is filled with so many different people asking the same question again & again so I am going to copy-paste my reply from another thread. Thank you for increasing our forum activity😃

Regarding the title, I find it so apt here more than the 1st season. The CVs have taken a very different take on the title to firstly question what love really is. And this was highlighted in the whole phase of how Astha 'fell' for Shlok so quickly. She mistook her attraction to his persona as love, which many naive girls tend to do nowadays. Shlok/Astha's relationship had a lot of physical attraction but they never had any spiritual bonding or real communication. Notice Astha's dialogues & Shlok's dialogues.
Shlok - you never understood me even though you claim to love me
Astha - i feel bad because i never understood the black heart behind this face.
Astha never loved Shlok because to love, you need to know the person & very rightly Astha doesn't know Shlok. It was an infatuation.

Secondly, the title is questioning the existence of love in a abusive environment. Many women tend to think that when their husband hits them or even verbally abuses them, he is doing that out of love. Even Astha has been a victim of this. Whenever Shlok abused her, she fell for him even more because she felt a sense of protection in the raw abuse that he did. That is wrong. Where there is love, there is respect. Shlok doesn't respect Astha. Neither does Niranjan respect Anjali. Even Varad doesn't respect Sojal. So the women in these relationships are wrong to think that their husband loves them or that they have to tolerate.

For me, this show is living up to my expectations. I am very impressed by the writing & cast.

One person's poison is another person's nectar... I mentioned in my post that there are such things in real life and showing what happens in real is not what my post about. Showing too much of negativity is the issue. While there is bad there is also good in this world. Why should all relationships be bad. Are there no good ones in real life?

I do like your point of you. Thank you for bringing it up. Real life CAN be bad---and it dismays me that every channel I change to, has something dismal and horrid happening. I want to see something good and sweet and nice for a change.
As for prc_fan's----your view points , I have always liked . I look forward to them, and I agree that they are showing somethings that are true, real and frightening, and maybe a whole lot of women NEED to see this-----how ever, I cant! I am quite horrified by it all . I read your views and what the girls have to say. I can understand the deep worry and realizations of abuse from the members of this forum but I shudder at the excitement of girls, thinking it as romantic.
Sigh! I suppose this show WILL teach girls LOADS. So I will congratulate the makers in trying to change the world. But I need to have a stronger heart if I want to follow Astha 's story.

Thanks for appreciating. My point is that there is too much of negativity and disillusionment in the world today and TV reaching so many households is the game changer. While we do need awareness and appreciate the makers for bringing this forward they cannot show every relationship flawed barring Astha's parents. What about putting impressionable youngsters on the wrong foot regarding marriage? While it is important to show bad there should be a balance of good too. That is the imbalance in this show.

I beg to differ. We seem to have unrealistic and ideal views on marraige thanks to all the romantic bologney that we are subjected to in the name of entertainment. So I am glad this serial dares to be different and highlights the importance of respect ( specially for a woman) in any relationship.
