Hey Everyone -

This is my opinion, and in no means I expect everyone to feel the same way. I think we should put up any discussions of the day's episode after the written update has been posted. Of lately, we've been getting into discussions before the update has been posted by either Ananya/Jyoti. This in turn takes away the anxiousness and the fun of reading their updates.

Do you all agree?

To help those who live outside India or wish to know quickly what happened .. or start discussions while awaiting the more detailed update is posted ... I have been giving short updates when initiating my posts. This appear to be helping a lot of people till the more detailed updates are posted.

Hi Mansi - I understand where you're coming from, but dont you agree that takes away the jist of the detailed update. I am very grateful to you, Ananya, and Jyoti for all your hardwork -- but I think its only fair for Ananya and Jyoti that we start discussing the episode after their post. Also, their posts are always on time and for the people who live in the US/Canada be patient for another 10-15 mins.

my two cents.. i dont mean to offend any one or step on their toes.

Short updates vs. detailed updates have always been an issue with members always divided on whether both can co - exist or should they be exclusive.

Personally speaking, I read Manasi's update, if I am just getting out of the office and cant read Anu's update till 10 in the night when I get home... Manasi's updates give me a gist of what has happened, then I get home and peacefully read Anu's updates (now Jyoti's too), which go in greater details.

Manasi's updates are more of a teaser relief to be followed by the in depth analysis of the updates and then the predictions which follow...

But yes, there are many a member who are impatient, who would liek to read asap and not really concerned about the discussions, they want a fatafat update, and be on their way. If the shorter updates are posted first, they read the shorter versions and then the efforts taken by the coolbies to write a more detailed, emotion full update is gone in vain over them.... Because of a gap of 15 minutes of 20 minutes between the two updates, these guys dont wait for the detailed update, which can be a damper for the coolbie as well.

We need to balance the two actually.... how, is the multi million question.

Since there is a time difference between countries, those of us in India like me who see the programme earlier (and also need to get offline earlier) would prefer to start any online discussions faster naturally.

When I thus started initiating discussions with those like me in India faster, I found loads of PMs to me from those not in India, asking for s short update to be included and so I started adding that.

I am afraid in my case I cannot stay up late online as I work in the nights, so I prefer to have any discussions online with others at a time convenient to me.

I guess we cannot all have one common standard practice that fits everyone, but in a forum like this we have achoice to ignore posts we don't want to see if we want to wait foir other posts.

Thus those who wish to discuss faster may prefer the short updates, while those who don't want to lose the thrill of the longer updates can bypass the short posts that come before that!

Anyway I have noticed lengthy discussions take place on both types of posts! So nobody will miss on any fun of their choice.

I guess if the detailed updater has no problems with a short analysis being posted then there should be no problem.

The short anaylisis is just to start the discussion as in the detailed updates we only say a Thank you!! 😛

well i agree with sharmi...in the detailed updates we can't discuss anything but in the short updates we actually can discuss about the happenings...and i don't think its a big issue...detailed update ho ya short update ho...the fun is always discussion 😃
