Where is the Qubool Hai that I was completely obsessed with? Where is the original story? Where is it??!!?
These are just some of the questions that I've been asking myself as of late along with the big one: what the bloody hell is going on? Day by day my frustration and annoyance has been increasing and it doesn't seem like the shows going to get better. I watched when Tanveer entered, I watched when she started screwing things up, I watched when they were separated (and the horrid Ajmer episodes), and I even watched when they got Zoya married to Ayaan (which was just the cherry on top for me). And it's all just left me with a bitter taste in my mouth.
They've butchered the show and the characters! Zoya and Asad still aren't married (yet has anybody noticed that he wants to move to New York with her, at least get hitched first please!), Zoya still doesn't know who her father is, yet I'm pretty sure that was what the Zoyaan track was for (again W*F?), Zoya is nowhere near knowing anything about her family nor about the fact that Razia killed her mother. It just feels like the writers are putting horrible and farfetched ideas in a hat and picking one each month regardless of if they make sense.
And then there's the characters. I still think Karan and Surbhi can deliver amazing performances but lately it just seems like they've stopped trying. Like their getting tired of all this bull crap too. And Dilshad?!? She's supposed to be a strong character. Did they not remember how she came to the realization that Rashid is a weak human being the day he couldn't even stand up for her when Shireen and Razia were ganging up on her? She even called him out on it!! 😡 And realistically speaking, I really don't think any mother would leave her kids (no matter how old they may be) for a sad excuse of a man who left her for another woman and now after like 20 years is coming back saying he loves her. Like seriously?!
And now getting to this apparent moving to New York track and a possible 3-4 year leap. For crying out loud, stop digging the show even deeper into its pitiful hole, especially when you're trying to get yourself out. Last thing, I like the Haider entry (don't mind it) but regardless of who you are, my parents would kick your butt if you just let yourself into our house late at night without anyone's knowledge and walked into my room, even if you were invited to stay with us. Are there doors not locked? Does this even happen in India, because I can assure you it does not happen in Canada lol.
This post is honestly just to rant about my frustrations, whoever else feels like their in the same boat, please do comment. If your not in the same boat, still like to hear your thoughts 👍🏼
