For all those waiting for Dhanush's next Bollywood film after Raanjhanaa, here's some interesting dope. The actor might team up with Amitabh Bachchan for a film, and reportedly his role was earlier offered to Shahrukh Khan.

With his lean body and boy-next-door looks, no one had expected Dhanush to make it big with his first Bollywood release itself. But, as the National Award winning actor is a natural performer, he won hearts with his power-packed performance in Raanjhanaa. Now, many Bollywood filmmakers want to work with Dhanush and one among them is R. Balki, the director who has given films like Paa and Cheeni Kum.

Balki has already planned his next with his favourite Amitabh Bachchan, and is apparently keen to rope in Dhanush for a pivotal role in the film. Surprisingly, this is the same role for which Shahrukh Khan was considered. It's heard that Shahrukh had even allotted his dates to the film. But it's Dhanush who's set to clinch the part.

In the movie, Dhanush will reportedly romance Kamal Haasan's younger daughter Akshara Haasan. While Balki will get his regular crew members, the cast is yet to be confirmed.

For now, Dhanush's upcoming Tamil movies -- Velai Illa Pattadhari and Anegan -- are keeping him busy. As soon as he is done with them he will shift his focus to his second Bollywood project.

Balki + Big B have given two of the best films in bollywood...and with Dhanush, it has gotta be epic!👍🏼

It will be awesome to watch Dhanush and AB on the same frame. Balki has beautiful vision when comes to cinema. will expect something good.
and Whoa AKshara and Dhanush as a pair will definitely remind us of Dhanush-Shruti's awesome chemistry onscreen.
Cannot really wait for this flick.
