Part 6

Asad's House, Bhopal

It was now nearly 2 weeks since Asad had invited Imran to Bhopal... It was a Sunday and Imran was coming to meet Najma ... Dilshad was very happy and running around with all the preparations for lunch.. Najma had invited two of her friends as well for lunch and she looked very happy .. Since Najma was very excited, Asad could not decide whether the excitement was because Imran was coming to see her or was she excited about her friends joining them for lunch...??

Even though it was now 3 weeks away from Mumbai., there was not even a single day Asad had stopped thinking about Zoya.. He was tempted to go back to Mumbai and may be give a visit to her hospital to catch a glimpse of her but looked like his mind had control over his heart and he had very adamantly stayed back in Bhopal..

Imran was the first to arrive... He had come alone to see Najma.. and if things worked out for both of them then he thought he could get his parents next time or may be Asad could get his ammi and sister to Mumbai...

When Najma walked in with juice for everybody, it looked like Imran was more tensed then Najma.. strangely she was at ease and all smiles. .. surpising both Dilshad and Asad...Imran was also impressed speaking to Najma.. and as all the four of them were speaking, the door bell rang...

Najma : shayad mere friends honge.. !!and she excitedly went towards the door...

Asad's thoughts : Najma ka excitement dekh kar muje kuch to gadbad lagtha hain.. Friend ya boy friend ko bulya hain Najma ne.. ?? Shayad isiliye itna excited hain... and he slowly lifted his head up curious to see who her friends were and the curiosity was replaced by shock.. He immediately looked at Imran suspecting if he was the cause for all this but there was a bigger shocked expression on Imran's face...

Najma : Hello Zoya.. Hi Saif.. and she hugged Zoya ... Please come in... !!

Zoya looked at the shocked expressions of both Imran and Asad and could not stop herself from smiling...

Najma : Zoya.. yeh meri ammi hain.. Dilshad Khan.. !! aur ammi ye Dr. Zoya aur Dr. Saif hain..

Dilshad's face lit up.. She always had a soft corner for doctors.. She respected the profession... Her thougts drifted to her husband for few seconds and came back...

Zoya : Kya mein apko poophi bula sakti hoon ??

A smile spread across Dilshad's face.. : Zaroor beta.. and she hugged her.. Zoya was very happy for this.. She could feel the motherly touch in Dilshad...

Najma.. : Zoya .. inse miliye.. yeh mere bhaijaan ...

Zoya : janti hoon inhe Najma.. World is indeed a small place !! .. Hello Mr. Khan.. Hey Imran!!

Saif : Hello Mr. Khan.. and he shook hands with Asad and later with Imran also...

Najma : Zoya.. aap in dono ko kaise jante hain ??

Zoya : Tumhare bhaijaan mere patient jo hain.. Waise apka pair kaisa hain Mr. Khan ?? I hope it is fine...

Asad : Najma.. Yeh to Mumbai se hain.. Tumhari friend kaise hui ??

Najma : Bhaijaan.. actually.. Dr. Saif US se Mumbai ke conference mein ayethe.. Ye bahut hi bade Neuro Surgeo hain.. Usi topic pe humare college ke kuch research papers submit bhi hue the.. aur isliye un students ko milne aur unke topic par humare college mein seminar dene keliye Bhopal aye hain..

Asad : Lekin tumhara topic Neuro Science hain nahin !!

Zoya : Wo kya hain na Mr. Khan.. Aap to jante hain.. ki Saif mere dost hain.. Mein to bas uske saath yahan Bhopal ayi.. aur mein bore ho rahi thi ... Najma se college mein mulakat hogayi.. aur pichle do haftein mein acche dost bangaye.. !!

Imran's thoughts : do hafte se.. isiliye Zoya ne muje do hafte se call nahin kiya.. and he controlled his laughter...

Asad: Do haftein se.. aap kahan pe ruki hain ??

Zoya : Mr. Khan.. ye koi police interrogation chal raha hain kya ?? Kahan pe ruki hooon.. kya kar rahi thi har din ?? kiske saath thi ??

Dilshad : Asad.. mehmaan se kis tarah ki batein kar rahein ho ??

Najma's Flashback

Two weeks back, Dr. Saif and Dr. Zoya had visited her college and Dr. Saif had selected few research papers which were submitted from his college and he was excited to give some time to the students over there to discuss about the topic.. ...

It was a pleasant surprise for Najma when Zoya had approached her and had told her about herself and Asad.. and the reason why she came to Bhopal...

Najma : Zoya babhi.. apki love story kitni interesting hain... !! Lekin Bhaijaan ko ab tak aap shayad jaan chuki hogi.. Wo nahin manege...

Zoya : Najma.. kyun nahin mangege.. ?? Batao.. muje please.. akhir problem kya hain ??

Najma had narrated her parents story to Zoya and how he hated his father for leaving them high and dry .. and how Dilshad had struggled to provide good education to both of them and she also told her how much Asad had struggled in setting up his business and also the reason for their stay in Bhopal irrespective of Asad's continued requests to shift to Mumbai...

Zoya had gone quiet for few minutes after hearing everything from Najma...

Zoya : Najma.. Mein tumhare bhaijaan ki zindagi mein hasi aur kushi zaroor laoongi.. unhe manna hi padega ki wo mujse pyar kartein hain.. aur mujse nikaah bi karenge..

Najma : Sach mein Zoya babhi ??

Both the girls had hugged each other ... Zoya had told Najma about Imran being a good guy and also about whatever interactions she had with Imran ... and that was the reason why Najma was much at ease...

End of Flash back

Dilshad : Najma.. kahan kho gayi ho beta ?? Chalo khane pe leke jathe hain...

Zoya sat next to Saif.. and Najma sat next to Imran... Dilshad started serving...

Zoya : Poophi..kya mein apki madath karoon ??

Dilshad : Nahin beta.. Shukriya..

Dilshad was happy to see Zoya.. She wished she could get a beautiful girl like Zoya for her son.. ..

Dilshad : Zoya.. Tum aur Saif kaise friends ho ?? Wo US mein aur tum Mumbai mein..

Zoya's thoughts : Ab ayega maza...

Zoya : Actually poophi.. Meri Api US mein hain.. aur Saif jeeju ka friend aur padosi hain.. aur ab mera bhi friend hain.. and she put her hand on Saif's hand...

Dilshad : oh ok.. !! Tumhari Api US mein kahan rehti hain beta ??

Zoya : New York mein !!

As soon as she heard US, she hoped she could take help but when Zoya mentioned New York, her enthusiasm came down a little...

Asad got really restless looking at the way Zoya was holding Saif's hand...During all this, the others failed to notice Imran and Najma lost in their own world...

Dilshad : Waise Imran ... aaj Najma ko dekhne aya hain...

Zoya : Oh really poophi.. Kyun Imran kaisi lagi humari Najma ?? Waise poophi.. Saif bhi India apne dulhan ko lejane aya hain... Kyun Saif ??

Saif : Ji Poophi.. aur shayad humari Zoya bhi apne prince charming ko doond chuki hain and he looked at Zoya and winked at her...

Asad's anger had slowly started to increase since she saw Saif and Zoya together... He got so angry that he broke the spoon which he was eating with...

Everybody immediately looked towards his direction..

Dilshad : Asad.. yeh kya hain ??

Zoya was trying to control her laughter and in that attempt she got choked and started coughing... Saif who was next to her immediately gave her a glass of water and tried to pat her back...

That was the final thing Asad could take in.. He got up angrily and pushed his chair back in such force that it fell down.. Ignoring it, he walked into his room...

Dilshad was very embarrassed at her son's behavior.. She did not understand what had gone wrong now for him to blow up.. She also knew that it was better to leave him alone for some time...

Dilshad looked at everybody : I am sorry...

Zoya : Poophi .. koi baat nahin hain... Najma.. tum aur Imran baat karna chathe ho to tum dono garden mein baat karo...Poophi.. Saif ko shayad kuch urgent kaam hain.. Wo ab chalega.. Mein todhi dher ke baad nikalti hoon...

Saif understood the reason and so telling bye to everybody, he left... When Dilshad and Zoya were alone,

Zoya : Poophi... I am sorry.. Yeh sab meri wajah se hua...

Dilshad : Mein kuch samji nahin Zoya !!

Zoya narrated how she had met Asad and she admitted that she had fallen in love with her son.. She also told her that she knew Asad had feelings for her and that he was not ready to accept it... She went on to tell her about how she had collected information about Najma and had worked out her plan...to reach him ...

After hearing the whole story, a smile spread across Dilshad's face..

Dilshad : Muje bahut kushi hain Zoya jo itni pyar karnewali ladki mere bte ko mil rahi hain..aur muje itni achhi bahu ... And she kissed Zoya on her forehead...

Zoya : Poophi .. Kya mein Mr. Khan se baat kar sakti hooon ??

Dilshad smiled and noded and guided her to his room...

Asad's room

Zoya knew that it was definitely not an easy task to make this man confess his love for her and it was equally difficult for her to tell him that she loved him.. but she had to do it.. She knocked on his door but there was no reply...She knocked again and opened the door...

Asad was standing near the window staring outside .. nothing in particular... She went and stood next to him...

Asad : Aap yahan pe kyun ayi hain?? Aap yeh sab kya kar rahi hain.. kyun kar rahi hai ??

Zoya : Agar aap itna samaj gaye hain ki mein ye sab jaanboojkar kar rahi hoon.. to apko yeh bhi samaj gaye honge.. ki mein ye kyun kar rahin hoon...!!

Asad : Aap jo chathi hai.. wo nahin ho sakta hain!!! Kabhi nahin.. Aap kyun samaj nahin rahi hain ?

Zoya : Apki problem kya hain Mr. Khan ?? Please mere saath share kijiye.. !!

Asad just stood quietly without replying back ... Zoya got really irritated now...

Zoya : Mein janti hoon ki aap mujse pyar kartein hain.. Agar aap mujse pyar nahin kartien hain.. to bahar jo bhi hua wo kya tha ??

Asad still stood quietly...

Zoya : Fine.. apko koi fark nahin padtha hain na.. Fair enough.. Ab mein Saif ko ja kar hug karoongi tab bhi apko koi fark nahin padega right ??

Asad got really upset and angry now... He held her by her shoulders tightly... : To Yeh sab apka plan tha ?? aap mere jazbaat se khel rahi thi ?? Isiliye nafrat kartha hoon pyar naam se.. Apne kya socha.. ek successful business man aya apke hospital mein to aap asani se muje apne jaal mein fasa sakhegi... I hate you Dr. Zoya Farooqui.. I hate you.. !! Aap jaise logon se mein sirf nafrat karta hoon.. Mera baap bhi isi tarah mere ammi ko fasakara chodke chalgaya... Mein apke jaal mein nahin fasoonga..did you get that ?? Get out of my house and life please !!

Zoya : Sure Mr. Khan.. jaanti hoon.. Muje maloom nahin tha.. ki apki soch itni ghatiya ho sakta hain.. Tears were flowing down her eyes .. Mein bhi apse ab milna nahin chahoongi... !! She freed herself from his hands and walked out of his room...

Dilshad was waiting eagerly for her son and Zoya to come out.. She hoped her son would agree ... Najma and Imran had also joined her and as they were waiting impatiently nad they saw Zoya coming out in tears...

Dishad : Zoya.. kya hua beta ??

Zoya : I am sorry poophi.. Mera pyar kamzor padgaya .. and she just walked out of their house...

It took nearly couple of minutes for Asad to realize what he had done.. The pain in her eyes was killing him.. He was scared to hurt the girl whom he loved and had avoided her but now he had ended up doing the very same thing...He slowly came out of his room...

Dilshad : Asad.. kya hua ??Tum itne pathar dil kaise ho sakte ho Asad ??

Asad told everybody that she had planned all this and he hated her for that...

Dilshad : Asad.. bas.. mein aur kuch sunna nahin chathi hoon.. Hum sab jante the ... !! Zoya humse kuch bhi chipaya nahin hai.. Wo sirf tumse pyar karti hain Asad.. Agar tum apne mohabat ka izhar nahi karoge to wo kya karegi ?? kuch bachkani harkat to karegi na ??

Najma : Bhaijaan.. Zoya sach mein apse pyar karti hain.. and she narrated him how Zoya had met her and requested her to help her and she also added that Saif was just a friend of Zoya and he was also helping her ...

Imran : Asad.. tumne teek nahin kiya.. and he narrated how Zoya had come to Dilshad constructions and also about the talks which he had with her.. He also told Asad how she had come in to give information about Riyaj to save Dilshad constructions.. though he did not have any idea how she had got to know about this...and finally added how pleased she was to know that Asad had actually tackled Riyaj much earlier...

Dilshad : Asad.. Wo ladki tumse bahut pyar karti hain Asad !! Socho.. Wo khud ek famous doctor hain.. to wo tumhare paison ke peeche kyun bhagegi ??

Tears started flowing down from Asad's eyes as well hearing all these revelations from his family members...

Asad : Najma.. Zoya kahan pe ruki hain ??

He took out his car key and rushed out of his house ... What he dreaded most in his life.. It had turned out to be true ... He had joined the long list of crazy lovers in the world... He was indeed madly in love with her... and he now wanted to get her back in his life and house which she would turn it to a home !!
