in those days atleast in mughals mothers were mothers irrespective of whether they are foster mother, milk mother, step mother, half mother they got same respect as birth mother

so ruqu scolded him like a mother not like step mother and rahim took it as a son not as step son

she was not that rude but yes she was angry, if she was rude rahim could have ran away from thr but he cutely said" humare bich ki baat h" he too knows how she's 😆
