When Veer takes Zaara to his village and she meets his mother, Sandy was suddenly wide awake. She felt she was watching Bhabo. That very direct way of talking, what you saw was what you got type of person that Sandy knew Bhabo to be. The way Zaara was drawn to Veer's parents was exactly how Sandy had felt many times, when she was lost without family. Now she said a silent thank you to God for giving her a family.

Meena was suddenly shocked by the next scene, 'Hai! The PL has come! Now how will Veer feel hai hai! Zaara will marry him? Then Veer will want to die na? Oh this is killing.

Suraj was more sure of Veer-Zaara love. 'No Meenakshi, aisa kuch nahi hoga. VeerZaara love is strong.' as he said it, he stole a quick sideways glance at Sandy, who didn't get the connection between VeerZaara and SurYa...yet.

'OMG! This Zaara standing between main lead and parallel lead and introducing! '

Sandy now remembered Meena warning her about a PL for Suraj. When could a PL come between them? Meena was already between them now, yelling her running commentary.

"Meenakshi, why are you obsessed with PLs? '

'Jethanijee, these days this is very common. I keep my eh ji under close watch.'

Suraj felt offended, 'Meenakshi in this movie, Veer is a very naik person.'

'Haan haan Jethjee. It can happen other way also. '

Sandy turned her mind to their PL who was supposed to be Suraj's friend and admirer while Sandy was busy with training.

The Veer Zaara separation at the train station, made SurYa become more in synch with the story. Sandy also now caught up with Suraj's train of thought. Zaara, having to leave Veer. If not for this baby, Sandy may have even now put career over marriage. Duty over love.

Was their story really this filmy? SurYa stopped watching the movie and looked at each other. This baby was actually going to make them closer. Bhabo had been right? Sandy was now beginning to feel regret at the time she had lost. The love she had withheld from Suraj. Hardening her heart at all the wrong moments. Until he had become too reluctant to cross even the simplest and most straightforward milestones in a relationship. They had somewhere along the way gone out of synch with their feelings. Time lost. But like some just in time rescue mission, Sandy had finally woken up to the need to communicate. Now it was necessary to guard what they had and build on it.

Meena was crying.

Meena was doubly sad because of the over the top last scene of veer zaara and also because it was now the end of the movie and she had to get some work done in the kitchen...

'Re Meena Beendani! Where are you!'

Bhabo had been screaming for a while, and had now come up to search for Meena. SurYa switched off the tv and went to the door. Meena had escaped like lightening and gone down the back stairs.

'Bhabo, what is it.'

'No Beendani, you rest. I and Meena will manage. Emily is so busy with her beauty parlour now, she says she can't close even at 6 '

Bhabo noticed that Sandy looked a bit troubled.

'Chora, I think Sandhya needs some warm milk now. Add some almonds.'

Suraj went obediently.

'What is it Beendani. You look worried. Don't worry. All first time mothers worry unnecessarily.'

'No Bhabo. I'm not worried about the baby.'

Bhabo knew that too. Sandy had the look of someone who was struggling with sudden conflicts of mind. She had never, even in the worst situations looked this uncertain.

'Beendani, let's sit here.' They both sat on the bed and Bhabo took a long hard look at Sandy.

' You have done the right thing. No married person can avoid sacrifice. I know you took the vows seriously and you understood. But here, you have only delayed what will surely come to pass. You will be Sandhya IPS.'

'But will Suraj ji be able to handle a long separation? '

'I am happy you have asked this question. He will struggle, yes. And you will not.'

Sandy shot a look to Bhabo, but Bhabo didn't flinch. Women were built stronger for separations. Something that they both knew.
