BHOOTIYA BUNGALOW
Episode opens with a broker Jignesh showing a house to a family of Shiv, his wife Sunidhi and their daughter Pinky. In the corner there's a doll with the sounds of cries of a child in the background. Pinky goes out near the swimming pool. The doll falls down and Sunidhi picks it up. Suddenly she sees a vague figure passing bye and follows it upstairs. She sees the bathroom window open and finds nobody.
7 days later, the family is on their dinner table. Sunidhi goes in the kitchen to fetch something when the lights go off. Shiv calls Sunidhi and gets no reply. Suddenly he and Pinky spot someone like Sunidhi coming downstairs and get shocked as she never went up. Her face is covered with her hairs and Pinky hides behind a chair seeing this. She moves ahead and kills Shiv pressing his neck. The watchman hears noises and arrives in breaking the door. Lights come back and Sunidhi is spotted in an unconscious state near Shiv's body. She gains consciousness and watchman Sundar calls the house owner.
Sunidhi's brother meets KD with Pinky. KD wonders what is the truth is Pinky says that her mother killed her father and at the same time she's also declaring that Sunidhi is innocent. Pinky tells him about the shadows and mysterious figures passing in the house.
KD meets Sunidhi in the jail and she reveals that she saw a shadow that night and followed it. She heard the voice of a payal too but found nobody up. After that she fainted and saw herself in front of Shiv's body after gaining consciousness. KD questions if she's addicted to any type of drug? Sunidhi denies and requests KD to save her, for her daughter. KD assures her he'll try.
Prosecutor Patil begins the case and states it's a simple one, there were problems going in between the couple and that's why Sunidhi killed Shiv. Sunidhi denies and tells the court they had a good relation. Patil reveals that she's Shiv's second wife and problems were going on due to Shiv's friend Sandhya. Sunidhi even demanded a divorce. Sunidhi rejects his claims and accepts they did fought but later she understood Shiv and Sandhya are just friends. KD states that these arguments are common and the couple was fine after the misunderstanding was sorted out.
Patil further states there were just three people in the house and Sunidhi's fingerprints are found on Shiv's neck. KD reminds him that the detailed report is yet to arrive.
Patil then reveals that it's believed that the bungalow is haunted and this is the reason Sunidhi shifted there as she wanted people to believe a ghost has killed Shiv. KD tells the court that Shiv's height is 6"2" so how can someone like Sunidhi kill him, she doesn't have that power. Also, she would have killed her husband at some deserted place, why in front of Pinky? Patil repeats she did this to make her believe that ghost has killed her father. Sunidhi yells that it must have been a ghost only.
KD claims this is the job of a human and calls Sunidhi's neighbor Premnath as a witness. Premnath tells KD that he too believes the house is haunted. On asking why, he reveals that two years ago a man named Kishan lived there who was engaged in extra-marital affairs. His wife committed suicide due to this. Since then 3 paying guests have been there and Shiv is the first one to die. KD questions if he saw something dangerous and Premnath tells him a night he saw a woman trying to kill her husband pressing his neck. Sharma was the first one to survive and he ran away the next morning. Ghosts attack only husbands; KD wonders how come he's safe yet. Premnath tells him he's loyal and often does Havan.
Jignesh is called in the witness box. His hand is injured and on being asking he reveals that his wife makes him work a lot. KD asks him if he knew the house was haunted to which Jignesh rejects but later admits he had heard something related but the house owner Amit denied the same. KD reveals Jignesh's record isn't good and he has sold a bungalow to three different people. Later he doubts Jignesh might have scared the paying guests as ghost to gain more profit. Jignesh denies these blames and Patil tells KD that the door was closed and Sundar broke it and then entered. KD utters that Jignesh has a duplicate key. Then Jignesh reveals that Sundar has the key he often borrowed it when needed.
KD calls and questions Sundar why he went broke the door if he had the key? Sundar tells him he lost the key a few days ago and even told the owner Amit about it. KD claims it's an excuse and he might have been the ghost who killed Shiv and after the job was done, he broke the door as a watchman. Patil utters that Pinky saw the watchman and he entered through the door only. KD states the murderer entered through the lost key only then. The clock strikes 5.
Varun and Srman are outside the bungalow with Sundar. They hear some noise of a payal and Sundar runs away being afraid. Varun and Srman get in and spot a scary figure. Both are unsuccessful in catching her/him.
Both of them report this to KD and Varun adds that the bathroom window was a bit open as if someone closed it in hurry. Srman gets the bungalow owner Amit's number and KD talks to him. Amit is in London and KD tells him he wants to buy his bungalow. Amit fixes a price of 2.5 crores and reveals someone already offered a purchase. He reveals the man's name to KD.
The detailed report is brought in the court and it's revealed that Shiv died due to heart attack. Police got a table knife as evidence. Patil claims that Sunidhi tried killing Shiv through the knife and that's why he got a heart attack. KD again utters that the killer had the house key and calls Sundar. He questions what his monthly salary is to which Sundar replies it's 5000. KD wonders how he manages to spend 900-1000 regularly consuming alcohol in an expensive Piano Pub. Sundar is taken aback and tells KD he gets some extra money. KD isn't satisfied and questions him that why he told Premnath about Varun and Srman's visit to the bungalow when he had warned him not to reveal this to anyone. Sundar denies he told anything to Premnath and then KD tells him that the phone records state he did talk to Premnath.
Sundar tries to handle the situation saying that the man often ordered him to bring household things which isn't allowed on duty. KD calls Premnath and questions him why he wanted to buy the haunted bungalow? To prove this, he plays the recording of Amit and his conversation. KD further reveals his assistants did a sting operation.
In the video, Varun and Srman are disguised at Premnath's house and they wish to buy the haunted bungalow. Premnath tells them not to do so as recently a man lost his life. Srman says they need to confirm whether the bungalow is haunted or not and Premnath tells them they can borrow the key from the watchman. Srman acts as if he needs to go to bathroom and quickly moves in. He checks the room and gets a woman's outfits and hairpiece.
Those things are revealed in the court and KD seeks the judge's permission to make Premnath wear those. When the man comes wearing those outfits and hairpiece, lights are turned off and Pinky identifies him as the one who killed Shiv that night. Premnath confesses he did this to buy the bungalow as he would have earned a lot of profit selling it and his own together, he used to scare people as a ghost. He also adds he never wanted to kill Shiv, it happened accidently.
He and watchman Sundar are arrested and Sunidhi is freed.
