Today was a profound and beautiful episode a momentous one by all angels.
Because today Jalal became Akbar the great and a Shahenshah of an empire became the pita of his awam 👏
I had read somewhere Akbar had regretted marrying women of his empire in his younger days since in his middle age he started considering his citizens as his own children 👏
Here in this serial Jalal is a bit young(20-21 years) to think of such a profound philosophy none the less the fact that some emperor considered his citizens as his children itself is a great thing. And that too in 16th century.
When Jalal told that "I am not upset and worried that i do not have children because when i have so many people who love me and come to listen to me then it means you all are like my children" it melted even the hardest rock standing on the hill near agra fort.
Now that Jalal made all his citizens as his children and we all know it will take a very long time to get to be father atleast i hope relationships are mended between Jalal and Jodha, Jalal and Bakshi, Jalal and Hamida fast.
Today was the first step of Akbar the great.
Why was really Akbar called the great?
He ruled over many parts of indian subcontinent from Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Burma, Tibet, Nepal, Bangladesh etc of todays countries
He was the richest man on earth at that time
He abolished Jiyaza tax on non-muslims for pilgimage
He allowed hindu festivals like Diwali, rakhi, holi to be celebrated inside agra fort and participated in them
He gave his hindu, buddist and christian wives to follow their religions in fort
He opened traveller rest houses in various locations across his empire
He apponited judges/Kazis to give justice even at village level
He treated all citizens equal and brought common law for all citizens for general offences
He translated hindu scriptures and had his children educated by jesuit priests and hindu priests
He developed beautiful architecture and miniature paintings in india
He abolished sati and allowed widow remarriages and ordered one man one wife concept
He developed long roads following on steps of Sher Shah Suri
He developed tax systems, property inheritance laws, property transfer and sale rules
He brought postal system in india across 2000 miles of postal roads. Men were stationed every 25-30 miles to carry mails to next destination with horses and rest houses(same as modern post office)
He dreamed of a single country called hindustan to unite all Indian subcontinent countries under one country
Yes Akbar was sometimes crule, made errors by marrying many women, forcing other kings to marry their daughters to him against their will but there is no denying he was a great administrator who introduced new concepts which are in vogue even now.
Moghuls were so rich that even today anyone powerful and rich is called by that name ex Hollywood moghul, wall street moghul, business moghul denotes unimaginable richness and fame.
