Zyada ulta bolegi to aadmi to marega na

trans: men are dogs. Its a womans duty to keep her man straight. If she answers back he will naturally hit her

I dont know Arshi. This sort of comment is probably par for the course in some parts of India, but certainly not everywhere...

And why does SP have to pick on the worst situations to broadcast as the norm?😲

happy,, this is delhi upper middle class . A real case of a woman who wanted to opt out.

Of course there are families which are supportive. But we still are closdd minded as a society..

so if the judge in small town suggests go back to your husband I wouldnt be surprised.
Anyway divorce laws say a period of seperation where tjet are supposed to attempt reconciliation is advised

Where I come from, this doesnt seem to be the case. Have mentioned this before; my maasi got a divorce 50 plus years ago and lived happily ever after as a self-supporting professional woman and raised two daughters, even in some ways lived a fuller life than her happily-married sister (my mum). These days, the younger generation seems to marry later and later and divorce is commonplace, almost casual(!) as well.

Kerala is probably the other end of the spectrum, and not something the TRP segment would relate to... Still, no reason for SP to be stuck in the rut! If they can't live up to their Nayi Soch slogan, they should remove it, pronto!

Edit - Is it reasonable to advise reconciliation with a spouse who has tried to murder you twice? makes No Sense!

true the legal system has a lot of limitations.
and grim reality maybe but we love kumud becos she is a fighter and so thats what even now she must do

and desais are a thinking caring family who could support dukhba then

so kumud now is not alone and no matter what society at large says

she is not alone and she has a family and a boy friend who are with her

So again I feel judge saying go back is bad but a reality

kumud going back would be criminal because we dont relate to the judge

she is wrong. We relate to kumud. She has to stand her ground

in fact villagers and mohan ki ma ka stand doesnt bother me az ig reflects social mindset and they are only seing what pramaad is showing them

Kumud has to fight for herself because in her victory lies the inspiratioon for and the message and the soch

hwr family and saras have to stand behind her choice to be free of pramad

How is it fair for a judge to even make such an observation when there's an unassailable, hardcore evidence that the husband has been a drunk, wife beating, murderous libertine?

This sucks even more when the judge is armed with prior info that the man is dying, and the wife could very well be subjected to mudslingers from misogynistic zealots of the village.

It is wrong on so many levels for a prime time channel to showcase such malarkey especially when such an issue is taking center stage in our country.
