There is a reason tbe person is your ex but dont you think there still would be some attachments left ... I have seen some cases where I used to work that talking to the ex leads to bad news for the spouse ... Thiugh overtime but it does ...

No, one does not need to keep in touch or be in contact with his/her ex. However, you are asking two totally different aspects - talking to ex after marriage and keeping/being in touch with them. They are two totally different perceptions.

For me talking to an ex after marriage would also mean being civil or cordial with them when I see them at a public place and exchange a few words here and there. To keep in touch is a step forward. That would include inviting them over for get-togethers, talking to them on a regular basis, keeping in touch through FB or other chat mediums, etc.

I would NEVER keep in touch with my ex, but I WOULD be cordial with her and exchange a few words if I ran into her randomly. 😊

I mean through social networking. Chat medium ...that means that the intent to keep in touch is there unlike bumping into them randomly

No, I wouldn't. My wife may well be a very patient and respectful lady, but I am sure deep down inside, should wouldn't appreciate that about me. I would rather reciprocate the respect and move on.

I talk to all my exes as and when needed. I don't go out of my way to initiate contact but yes I wish them on their birthdays as they do me. As long as there's no residual sexual/romantic feelings left, an ex is just another person you once knew. No big deal.

P:S: I'm not married nor do I want to be but my stance would be the same even then.

Yes -- I have maintained contact with a lot of them and I do not find anything wrong with it -- just because one is in a relationship doesn't mean you sign your life away for that person. If there is something I need, or something they need from me we are always up to the task and there is no bitterness.

I cannot spend a relationship with an insecure partner -- they bore me to death and piss me off, I already put up with too much bossing around at my work, the last thing I want is some tantrums and hissy fits from my partner on my whereabouts when Im home.

lol but who has time to talk to the exes?😆 If you really feel the need to talk to them so much, why ex them in the first place?😆 I think one should avoid exes like the plague, unless it can't be helped. They're just too much baggage.😆
