I haven't been on IF much because of science tests, maths coursework, english mocks, etc, etc...
As some of my IF friends know, I was going to do a FF with Sims 2 pictures, but that idea didn't really work out because I was so busy.
But 1 or 2 months ago, for English holiday homework, we had to write a story with a cliff hanger! And this is it. So today I thought of putting it up as FF to see what you thought of it.
If it gets quite good feedback and if I get enough time, then hopefully I'll carry on the story.
So...enjoy!

NIGHTFALL
Chapter 1
It was dark and the moon was glowing amongst the misty clouds, its light sent streaks of silver through the wood. The hum of the engine rumbled amongst the trees and the boom of rock music roared from the car speeding down the grey tarmac road. "Turn it down Natalie!" yelled Ishiqa. "What?" Natalie tuned to look back at her friend. "I said," she repeated, "TURN IT DOWN!" Natalie still seemed confused; she turned back to the wheel and turned the volume dial to hear what Ishiqa was saying. "Sorry, I couldn't hear you Ish, what were you going on about?" Ishiqa sighed: "Just keep the rock music on low. Please?" Natalie turned around to her friend again but received a jab from David in her side which a stern order: "Keep your eyes on the road!"
Meanwhile, Riya and Blane sat sniggering watching Ishiqa. She was carefully applying makeup to Dean's face, who was fast asleep, unaware of the watery eyeliner being run over his eyelids and completely oblivious of the pink blush dotted onto his cheeks. Just as Ishiqa was ready to apply mascara, Dean yawned and she jumped back, quickly stuffing the cosmetics back into her bag. He used the heel of his wrist to rub his eyes, making the eyeliner spread up to his eyebrows. Ishiqa, Riya and Blane desperately tried to keep their laughter in and act as inconspicuous and subtle as possible. Dean looked at the three of them and suspected something was wrong. Frowning, he muttered "You guys alright?" They nodded and Ishiqa bit her lip. A giggle escaped Riya's lips but she immediately placed her hand in front of her mouth. Dean glanced at all three. His lips felt slightly moist, and he hurriedly grabbed a hand mirror lying next to him to see his face covered in red lip gloss and radiant foundation. He screamed. "Argh! I look like…like…" he gulped. "…like Billie-Jo!" The group burst into hysteria, including Natalie and David, and continued to chuckle while Dean rummaged for make-up remover from Ishiqa's bag, at the same time attempted to cover Ishiqa's face in blue lipstick. It wasn't the first time; they were always playing jokes on everyone. Dean looked angry and irritated, but inside, he was enjoying every second.
Chapter 2
The group heard a loud hiss and the car slowed down. Natalie turned off the engine. "What was that?" asked David. "Wait, let me check." Natalie climbed out of the car and walked over to the punctured wheel. She sighed and kicked the tyre. "We've got a tyre puncture, people!" Everyone groaned loudly and one by one they climbed out of the car to huddle around the punctured tyre.
"How long is it gonna take?" said Blane.
Natalie put her hands on her hips: "Around one hour, maybe?" she tilted her head to one side.
"What?" Riya frowned. "One hour?"
Natalie yawned. "Or one and half hours. With my energy it might take longer…"
David ran his hand through his hair and shrugged. "I could help you."
Natalie smiled. "Are you sure?"
"Yes."
"Positive?"
"Yes! Come on, let's get started."
Blane watched Ishiqa and Dean. "Don't worry – take your time. I don't think those two really mind."
Ishiqa was being chased by Dean, who appeared to be running after her with a purple lip liner. Both were laughing and giggling like schoolchildren, covered in lipstick, eye pencil and the odd splodge of green mascara.
Chapter 3
Riya woke up in the car and yawned. "Guys?" None of her 5 friends were to be seen. She opened the door and stepped out. Empty. A breeze blew through her black hair. No one was in sight. She heard a footstep. She spun around fast, and was now facing the forest, which now seemed to be a threatening black void of vines and branches reaching out to the moonlight. A rustle among the bushes startled Riya, and she gasped. "That's not funny guys…come on! I can understand Ishiqa and Dean, but you other three are supposed to be the sane ones aren't you?" A growl echoed through the air sending a cold shudder through her. "It's not funny anymore…guys…?" The trembling tone in her voice reflected the sheer terror she could now feel. All of a sudden out of the blue a bloodstained hand landed on her shoulder and she screamed.
Then she woke up.
"Did you have a nightmare?"
She realised where she was when she saw Blane's face looking at her through the window. Once again, he asked: "Did you have a nightmare, Riya?" Riya sat, slightly stunned and a little dazed. "Yeah, I'm alright now, don't worry." He smiled and walked off to hand a spanner to Natalie and David. Riya sighed and leaned back on the seat. Then she saw blood. "Aaaarrgghh!" A bright flash blinded her for a moment. Then she noticed it was paint. Looking through the window at her were Ishiqa and Dean, guffawing uncontrollably at their prank. And they had a Polaroid. Riya scowled. "Don't do that!" she screamed. Dean waved a picture of Riya screaming while Ishiqa doubled over, still laughing at Riya's reaction. They ran off, ready to show it to the other three friends. Riya scrambled out of the car, aggregated but still slightly amused from the picture. "Oi!" she shouted after the couple. "I'll get you two back!" David ambled over. "Riya, I just came over to tell you, Natalie needs water for the engine. It turns out the tyre puncture wasn't the only problem. But the bottled water won't be enough, and we need that for drinking anyway, so we're gonna head down to that public tap we saw earlier on. It's kind of a long walk, so you coming?"
Riya shook her head. "I'm too tired. You guys go ahead, I'll be fine."
"Are you sure? The twiddle twins over there are going too." He motioned towards Ishiqa and Dean, who were playing a two man game of duck-duck-goose, "I'm not sure if Blane's going, but if he is, will you be okay?"
"Yeah, I'll be fine."
"Okay, see you later."
Riya shut the car door and tilted her head backwards onto the car seat. She closed her eyes and tried to shake the image of the bloodstained hand out of her mind. The door opened and she sat bolt upright. It was Blane. "Hey, didn't you go with them?" Blane shook his head. "Nope, I was too tired."
Some time later, Blane was lying on his back looking through the sunroof at the stars. Riya was engrossed by a book she was reading, when her mobile started to ring. It was David.
"David?"
"Hey Riya, there's a small favour I need."
"Sure, what do you need?"
"Could you just check if the map is there, Dean forgot to pick it up…"
She heard a mumble of protest in the background, presumably Dean.
"It's not around here…or in the car locker…"
"Oh, wait I think I remember putting it in the boot, could you have a look there please?"
"Yeah, okay."
She opened the door and ambled to the back of the car, opened the boot, and rummaged through the pile of empty drinks cans, newspapers and bags.
'"Are you okay back there?"
"Yeah, why wouldn't I."
"Oh, nothing…just thought you might be scared…"
"Hey, I'm braver than I look. Besides, Blane is here, why would I be scared?"
"What?"
"I said, Blane is here, so why would I be scared."
She continued to look through the rucksacks.
"What are you talking about, Blane is here."
"No, he said he was too tired, he's right here."
"Hi? Riya? This is Blane. I'm right here."
It was Blane's voice. Without doubt it was his voice. Her blood ran cold and her face went pale.
"What?" she breathed.
"I said it's me. I'm right here; I went with David and the rest."
"But…but…but if you're there…then who's…"
She slammed the car boot down and ran to the side of the car and slid the door open. She gasped. Then she hoped that David, Natalie, Ishiqa and Dean were near. She hoped they were near – near enough to hear her blood-curdling shriek.
