I have heard this time and again that it's lonely at the top. The one who is destined to reign at the pinnacle of power and fame has barely any friends or confidants. He who walks high, walks alone. And today the emperor's walk reminded me of this saying.
Apparently he was walking with Jodha, his soul mate in the making, surrounded by dozens, yet he felt alone. He can turn to no one with his troubles. Surrounded by a multitude of close people, he has yet to find a release. Only he knows the burdens his shoulders carry. Be it the weight of the world or the heaviness of conspiracies by his near and dear ones. Be it his pain and disappointment at his past losses or his unfulfilled desire of parenthood. His steps might be heavy with his worries, his fears, his pain and anger, yet they still walk regally and royally. His smile remains fixed, his eye dry. Cause even if the world falls around him, he has to stand straight. He is after all their Emperor, their King, their Saviour and Protector.
And his loneliness was more emphasized by Jodha's constant rant and complaints. I know I am inviting trouble big time by saying this, but today Jodha to me seemed unbearable. Agreed the lady has a lot to crib about, but can we have some break from this incessant tirade of grievances. I felt extremely sorry for Jalaal. How in the world is a man supposed to fall in love with a woman who always sounds like a shrew? But kudos to the man in question and his never ending patience and humour, he managed to not only hide his turmoil but also managed to tease and pull her highness's leg. Keep it up Jallu Janaab!!
Just a thought, power and success, is it a blessing or a curse then? No one would want to walk in Jalaaluddin Mohammed's lonely shoes today.

I did actually feel sorry for Jalaal for the same reasons u have beautifully mentioned...also the part when he talks to himself saying yet again he is not going to become a father but has to put up a farce...
However, I did not feel irritated by Jodha's rant. She is justified... From her POV, she was wronged and when she was talking seriously about leaving agra, the guy was talking kid's names...How else would she react?
Jalaal immensely enjoys annoying and aggravating her... So one cannot blame her for the reaction.

😆he does doesn't he? Oh how he enjoys his little spit fire, Mrs. Fire and Ice. Even in her bitter anger, she provides a respite to him. As I mentioned earlier I do realize she has her reasons but still felt bad for Jalaal. The cvs better show her softer side for this duration and in this detail too 😛

I agree...I almost had tears when he said "humne yeh naam Ruqaiyah Begum ke maa banne ke dauran sochatha...ek baar phir humare sapne adhuure rehgaye" sigh ! yes...he is a loner...yes I actually salute him for bearing with Jodha's constant grhina-filled lectures and giving back humor-filled teases to her...
Jalal understands Jodha's pain, agony...he could see her pain...he is a man in love...he is putting her pain upfront...his took a backseat...
let Jodha know the truth first...she will definitely surprises us. I can assure u one thing...Jodha DOES NOT hate Jalal...she is walking towards the road of love..she is confused and her subconscious mind is fighting against her conscious mind...the lectures r Jodha's attitude, pride and defence mechanism against her weak heart which is slipping away...falling for Jalal.
once she falls in love she will give away her life for Jalal.
very well written dear...👍🏼
