Being a widow is bad enough but getting remarried to a super-jerk like Shareefuddin is even worse.
Though it is not confirmed the veiled woman is her, the slightly chubby fingered hand with heavy rings seemed to be hers.
An abusive marriage is torturous and pathetic. Bakshi's marriage is not explicitly shown to be abusive but we have seen her being mishandled and dominated by that jerk of her husband time and again. She is a Mughal Princess the sister of the Emperor, no less. She must have some powers and can make her bro 'zinda jalao' Cheapuddin or at-least get him to treat her right .
So, why does BB endure him? The same reason why even today women fail to get out of an abusive marriage easily. They hold on to their marriage despite various misgivings. They bear the torture inflicted upon them for the sake of family, children, parents or just the hope that the husband might one fine day turn a new leaf. But such husbands never change and, as time passes, the silence of the spouse simply exaggerates the problem. The issue spills out of the confines of their home and out in open. A good example would be of world-renowned chef Nigella Lawson leaving a restaurant in tears after being strangled by her husband publically. If something like that can happen at a public place to someone like Nigella, i shudder to think what happens to others both in private and public.
BB does these dirty deeds in the hope that her hubby might love her more or probably change one day. In addition, BB has already lost one husband and she is mortally afraid to lose another. Still putting your dear brother in distress under your husband's instructions, is a new kind of low.
P.S. I have made this post to vent out my frustration over BB behaving this way. How could she????
