And my title is what it is, because it is exactly what I want to appreciate and congratulate Vrushika for after so many months of her having stepped into Sharon's shoes: for being a Sharon in her own style and with her own touch and at the same time being the Sharon I have always loved as my favourite character on D3 throughout its 2.5 years. 😊
This has been said before by so many people, including Palki ma'am in many of her interviews, but I shall reiterate it nevertheless: the graph of Vrushika's progress has been phenomenal over these last few months, for me. Touchwood for that, first of all. When she came in January, I remember thinking two things as my first impression of her: One, that she looked every bit of the Sharon Raiprakash she was meant to play now, and Two that she had a lot of work to do if she wanted to play her right. As for One, I still maintain and always will that for me Vrushika won half the battle in her first episode itself by just looking every bit the Diva Sharon was supposed to be, personality as well as screen presence-wise. She was tall, slender and good looking, carried her styling extremely comfortably and at the same time she also had the vulnerability on her face that completes Sharon as a character. And as for Two, the months that have followed her entry have only been a journey upwards at so many levels. Whether it is her dialogue delivery, or the range of expressions with which she can emote, or little things like her voice modulation: she has grown leaps and bounds in them all and more. And I just feel so proud, for some reason, that she's come as far as she already has. The way she's going, I see her getting even better with time and experience InshaAllah. 👍🏼
Over time, she has managed to portray so many shades of Sharon in a way that has done justice to the complexity that is also part of the character since the beginning of D3: she will push Swayam away despite being madly in love with him, will take ages to finally acknowledge that love but not know what to do with it when it comes up against her Asthma-constraints or more recently against the public persona she has taken so much effort to build as her shield against the world? There is confusion, vulnerability, pain, even selfishness at times that make her human. And with Vrushika's phase as Sharon I've also gotten to see a softening in her, and an acknowledged and unconditional love for Swayam...and well, I've just been made happier as a viewer, which is really the most I can ask of anyone or anything.
So basically, more even than appreciating and congratulating Vrushika, I want to thank her. For being a Sharon I fell in love with all over again. For giving me back everything that my Sharon was, along with much more. Thank you, Vrushika. We LOVE you, and wish you all the very best for everything. I've heard that you really doubt yourself at times...trust me, you have a lot of us believing in you, so it's time for you to believe in yourself a bit more and keep going this way, keep working hard the way you've been working, so that you scale more and more highs! 🤗
