* oh, so 9th mar did happen! manthan is still in jail and had to bailed out! phew! 😆

btw, what a wonderfully considerate and kind cop - he actually asks tanya-mom whether she thinks it's wise to release manthan given what he was doing.

btw2, superb mom-son scene. tanya-mom-manthan scenes always rock. why, oh why, doesn't the angst of staunch mom-son love vs. uncertain dad-son love become the backbone of the stories in this show? 😕

* who else wanted to applaud when manthan says he wants to leave shantiniketan?! the real reason to love this brother-sister duo despite their being soo obnoxious is that they are soo obviously the smartest lot in that house!! why can't eklavya be so smart? 😕

now, if only the two kids get together and actually convince their mom that they should really get out of shantiniketan and get a house of their own...

* superb tanya line: "if you know what i'm doing, why are you asking me?" to karan. actually, today, the verbal round was totally to tanya - karan can say such horrible things. 🤢

but point to ponder: exactly what did tanya stop herself from saying? i so felt for karan today when he urges her to ask what she wants to ask. yes, tanya-mom, please ask so even we can find out!

* loved mohini slapping her forehead when baa informed them that there is going to be yet another pooja (yap) in the house. 😆

* there goes bhoomi the love-hate boomerang on one of her love--hate trajectories, supporting her mom and attacking her dad, whom she still loves, for her mom! what a superb set of parent-child confrontations.

it's very cool how bhoomi's character retains the intense love and hate halves - it's almost schizophrenic. bhoomi doesn't seem to have a middle ground of love, which is probably what makes her so very attractive.

i wonder what she feels about, say, baa.

* difference between the son and daughter: manthan's love is bitter and sweet. bhoomi's love always come through as bitter and desperate. it's always difficult to put bhoomi into the "sweet list" - she tires me out. i really think the actress stretches the drama too much every single time by shouting - she is so much more effective when she is quiet.

but manthan? manthan gets into "sweet" list every time he shows love.

* so, how many of you just knew that there was actually no fire in nandini's flat, and this was just an excuse for nandini to come into shantiniketan to support and protect kt?

i thought so because nandini is around kt almost all the time, even more than the fiance is these days. nandini has come to shantiniketan with a purpose, and that is to be there for kt. what a wonderful contrast to yesterday's nandini.

* btw, how and why does daksha-c get away with being so thick-skinned??!! 🤔

* i'd have pondered if aryan was karan-nandini's lost child, but everyone on the forum's already thought it. 😆

i think it would be VERY cool, if he is truly their son, that nandini had him while in prison, that the cops thought he was cute and adopted him and brought him up in a big, joint family of cops and robbers which is a much nicer family than shantiniketan's, and today he's a top detective who his father is so proud of that karan can not really like manthan at all.

but because it would be so cool, i don't think it's gonna happen. 😆

13 mar, nandini is starting to act like she has a heart that can understand another human being's pain.

i just describe what i see on the screen. nothing more, nothing less. i figure it's safer that way 'cause the people, who create these characters, come across as social misfits and mentally challenged, in how they make these characters behave on screen. 😆

nandini, and the way she behaves as a character, would be very different if i were the scriptwriter.

I liked the way Nandini consoled KT in a maternal way and gave her some strength to fight.. Hey.. did the writers snoop into our comments.. go back to the sets and made the actors do what we wanted them to do?? 😉 Wish they did this more often.. we'll be closer to utopia in KSKBT's SN!!

I was confused.. how come KT's room looks different everytime? More so how come it got ruffled up again?? Weren't Laksh, Ba, Nandini gang wearing blind folds not to see a crime scene when Laksh and Ba are wondering why KT's behaving so irrationally??

Manthan, Bhoomi's ranting was just repetitive..

Tanya has a lot of insecurities knowing that Karan never loved her.. Now the mud slinging match between the dysfunctional parents start.. Round one goes to Tanya.

If only Karan stopped moping over losing Nandini and Tanya moping over Karan not loving her, they would have had some time to do some decent parenting.. With all the niceties of Karan there can be no excuse for not taking an interest in Manthan's upbringing and loving her more than Bhoomi.. Thank god! Manthan and Bhoomi dont have sibling rivalry on account of this..

If Karan-Tanya marriage arrangement was only to bring up Bhoomi.. sadly they both failed miserably, she was spoilt rotten, alcholic and doesnt know to respect anyone.. Manthan is their own flesh and blood.. He's been raised into a drug addict, who is only second in the number of times he's been jailed first being Tulsi.. Who is to be blamed for the airs of money in their heads?? Sorry Karan fans I think his character has been shown to have failed as a father because he let his personal feelings for Nandini come in the way of rational parenting..

To love someone is one thing to raise a child wrongly so that he/ she turn out to be irresponsible arrogant brats are two different mutually exclusive things..

My heart broke seeing my red pumpkin 😉 today..Laksh and KT's glances at each other.. I looooooved the way he cooed the only line of his on the show today.. give me all your sorrows and make me your smile.. Hai!!!! I fainted at this sweetness.. I think more than callous, she was still reeling from the fact that the same thing that happened to her had hapenned again in SN... And don't forget the fact, that she doesn't KNOW KT... The first time she even saw KT was at that holika burning thing... How weird would it be if she just jumped onto KT and said "OH MERI BETI, YEH TERE SAATH KYA HUAA..." Considering the fact that this was the first time ever she talked to KT, i think her reactions were apt and to the mark... She did what was needed - She told KT that it wasnt her fault and she had to raise her voice against what was meted out to her, she took her to the police station and filed a complaint as soon as possible... Which is far more efficent than I have seen in any other Balaji soap... When was a rape ever reported in K-serials? Except maybe in KZK, and that too took a month or 2 bcoz noone believed Mukti...

When she had gotten the formalities out of the way, i think she was more relieved and more loosened up in the head to comfort and support KT...

What I was disappointed about, was Karan's reaction. SAY SOMETHING! DO SOMETHING! He just stood there looking confused and disoriented... He should have been more supportive of KT since KT is his mother's shadow and all that.... 🤔

you pick out an interesting observation: both in kyph, and in this show, the manthan-bhoomi and prithvi-mishti relationships were super - brother-sister pair who love each other and would do anything for each other. does this happen frequently in the balaji serials? wonder why.

it's the himalayas, actually. and they're already there. one of the reasons why they laugh so much is because they get star-plus on cable and get to see what the inane scriptwriters are writing up as their pretend life. occassionally, they can persuade their daadi to take a look. but for most part, she can't take more than a minute of the show and leaves with a snort. 😆

you make a reasonable case to explain the nandini-coldness factor. i think i can now reconcile to myself that nandini didn't even put an arm around kt's shoulder (or that i don't remember any such warmth). but it was her notion of the "formalities" that troubled me about her. nothing seems to persuade me out of my extreme discomfort of:
* nandini not having insisted on kt visiting a hospital
* nandini not moving to be with kt when she is whisked away for the police examination - that was a horrible thing, according to me. kt looked terrified, and all nandini did was to pat her hand! cold, cold, cold..
* nandini not having thought through the consequences of starting a police case; nandini asking for a stop in the investigative process because it would "damage kt's chances of happiness" - it doesn't stop kt's life!! it doesn't waste kt's life!!! stop re-inforcing the screwed up social perception that a rape means the woman has to feel ashamed!!! i really detested that it was nandini that did it. she who had love and reinforcement after her assault. if she had to force the issue out into the open, i'd have respected and admired her if she'd had the courage to put everything she had behind kt going out for justice. as it stands, it was a half-way step, and if i were in kt's shoes, i'd feel the shame even more keenly. that was a ghastly scene for me.

and so far as this was better than other serials, i'd figure that the day we set benchmarks by the rest of television, we are doomed to poop, poop and more poop.

i'd love it if we set standards as per what we as civilised people would ask for. we already know that the scriptwriters are mentally challenged. why settle for the (non) standards they set? i

totally agreed. i noted this in my ptp,12mar. it's like we are constantly reinforced with the idea that when it comes to really parenting children, it's the women who ought to be with the reins. the guys just deliver the shoutings.
