Hola! I'm back!!! I tried to update the story, but off course, it was closed. So I was like, why not a re-write? So here it is. The prologue.
Mission: Bringing Love
...Prologue...
She sat there, her eyes mindlessly staring into the transparent waters of the pool side, her mind wandering off in her thoughts. The moon envied her wrapped in a gorgeous red sari on the night of karva chauth.
*Flashback*
"Khushiji, I think you should break your fast now. It's 10pm. Who knows when Chotte will arrive. How can he be so careless today?". Anjali suggested to Khushi forcing a small smile. "Khushi betiya, Anjali is right. You should break your fast". Nani agreed.
"I will wait for Arnavji. I kept this fast for him, and he'll break it". Khushi replied, determination seeping in.
"I'll send up fruits and Chotte's photo incase you change your mnd". Anjali smiled and walked off.
*Flashback Over*
'It will make things better. Especially for Arnavji. He won't have to answer everyone's questions after the contract is over', Khushi thought.
Her eyes darted to the knife that lay next to the bowl of fruits. She slid open the French doors that separated the poolside from their room.
She rummaged for a pen and began to write. The words spilling into the paper naturally without much thought.
After writing the last line, she placed the paper down onto the bed. Shut the door, and turned off the lights. Fear rushed through her veins at the sight of darkness. But she ignored it and kissed the photo of her Laad Governor.
She grasped the knife in her fingers and pressed it as hard as she could on her wrist before she fell unconscious on the recliner.
