I don't think that either group of people who support Salman Khan+Tanisha OR Gauhar are right or wrong. It's something to do with people's personalities. Those who are emotional and very caring can see through things and will support Gauhar and those who are slightly emotionless and don't get swayed easily identify themselves more with people like Salman Khan and Tanisha, etc.
Nobody is right or wrong here.. it's just that people with similar personalities identify themselves with others of similar personalities.. just my 2 cents
