'Nach Baliye 6' proves a hit for Star Plus UK

Nach Baliye 6 made a promising start on Star Plus UK last night by doubling the audience of the slot for the channel, according to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia.

The popular reality TV show pulled in 163,000 viewers between 21:00 and 22:30 - peaking at 209,900 viewers. The spin-off show Nach Baliye - Parde Ke Peeche' at 22:30 got 44,300 viewers.

Crime thriller show Arjun' at 20:00 was once again quite popular on Star Plus with 71,800 viewers - peaking at 94,700 viewers.

On Colors, Bigg Boss 7 was top on the channel with 54,800 viewers - peaking at 103,700 viewers, followed by the repeat of Comedy Nights With Kapil' with 42,500 viewers.

On Rishtey, Pakistani drama Mere Qatil Nere Dildar' brought in 60,900 viewers - peaking at 77,700 viewers, followed by Zindagi Ki Haqeeqat Se Aamna Samna' at 21:30 pulled in 30,500 viewers.

On Lamhe, classic movie Prem Bandhan' at 19:30 pulled in 14,100 viewers - peaking at 28,600 viewers.

The return of Nach Baliye' for its sixth season is proving to be a goldmine for Star Plus after nearly doubling the audience for the 21:00 slot on both Saturday and Sunday.

According to exclusive data obtained by BizAsia, Nach Baliye 6 last night drew 181,900 viewers - peaking at 265,500 viewers - the biggest reality success for the channel since MasterChef India'. Arjun' earlier at 20:00 did well too with 88,000 viewers.
