I'm still on cloud nine!
Moral of the story > agar kissi cheez ko poore dil se chaho, to saari kayenat tumhe usse milane mein lag jaati hai! And NEVER give up on your endeavours because your efforts will pay off in the end!
So, for the history...ever since I got to know (on Wednesday) that she is coming to Mauritius, I've tried all possible means to meet her! I've spoken with more than 5 persons (actually, I've lost the count!). I even got a false alert that she was supposed to come yesterday, so I travelled all the way to the airport, for almost 2 hours (in the bus!) to meet her, and then of course she did not come, and I was disappointed.
BUT, I did not give up! I tried again and got a news that she is coming at 4am today...then got the news that she is going at a Radio station today.. that was also a false news. Then I got the idea of calling someone else, and got the reliable news that she is coming today at 11:15 am. Plus, I saw Manish post a picture on Twitter that they are coming to Mauritius (and flight to Mauritius is 6 hrs, so I was sure that the news is correct as based on that, they would reach at 11am approx). So I took my bro's car and drove all the way to the airport again!
I was like, today, I MUST NOT MISS HER!
Then, I saw some journalists coming, so was double sure that this time the news are correct.
Manish came out. My heart skipped a beat. I was looking for Drashti everywhere since I was sure she would come out with Manish. But she did not come...😭
Then a journalist was interviewing Manish. I stayed next to them to wait to talk to Manish.
When he was done, I said hi and shook his hands. I told him that I am a fan of his and of Drashti and asked where Drashti was. He said she is still inside. I was like, ok..Can we take a pic? And that's the pic
Then, Arjun Rampal came out..I did not even look at him twice since my eyes were fixed on the (2) doors from which Drashti could potentially come out. I was like, I MUST NOT MISS HER!
Then, out of the blue, after 10 mins approx, I saw her coming out! I must thank Manish since if he did not post the following picture, I would probably not spot Drashti since she came out so fast. The pink scalf was the saver!
I literally ran towards her, said 'Hi Drashti', shook hands (her hands are so soft, I can't describe!), said 'I'm a big fan of yours, I'm here just to see you. Welcome to Mauritius'. She said thanks. I said 'can we take a picture together?', she said 'sure'. While my friend was taking the pic, I told her 'I tweeted you but..', immediately she said 'I'm sorry...'. Then we smiled for the picture...Here it is...
Then she said 'see you!' (I was sad since our encounter lasted less than 30 seconds, and I did not even get the time to see her properly). But it's still better than nothing, right?😳
While she was walking away, I asked 'is it your first time in Mauritius?' and she looked back and said 'third time'. And then she walked away to her car.
So that's all folks!
