Which king insulted drona? What was dhristashtra talking about?

So confused ,which king insulted drona? and why couldnt drona kill him ,whats his back story can anyone tell?

Drona was insulted by King Drupad ... in fact Drupad and Drona were great friends when they were young and studying at a Gurukul. Drupad promised to help Drona whenever the need arises. After so many years when Drona was married and Drupad had become a king Drona went to his kingdom to ask for help to overcome poverty and become rich. The power hungry drupad refused to acknowledge Drona and his friendship. Instead he insulted him and sent him away telling him friendship is only prevalent between kings not with poor Brahmin. So he mean Drona wants to train some well known princes and use them as a medium to take revenge.

Ok I have heard that Drona will ask arjun to defend Drupad (something like that) and is when he will win Drupadti.

He was talkng of king Panchal Draupadi's dad

No dear he in his guru dakshina asked to defeat Drupad n acquire his entire rajya n pandavas did the same drona gave his half kingdom back to him n from his possessions he took a cow which he requested earlier n Drupad said insulting way that friendship is always in equals .

This Hurted Ego Of Drupad n he performed yagya to generate children that could kill drona n his 2 children darupadi n drishtyadyumb were born from that yagya fire. He wanted to marry his daughter to a great warrior like Arjuna ashe was much impressed by him lord granted his wish n All pandavas married draupadi but We should not forget that swayamvara was won by arjun 😊
