I think this dilly dallying from Kumud is to with strong social conditioning.

From childhood the consistent messages that a girl receives - marriage is for keeps. Pati jaisa bhi ho, a girl has to adjust. While you may not marry the man you love, you have to love the man you marry.

After marriage to even think of another man is paap.

Its a woman's duty to always be true and chaste etc etc...

So many women I meet in my course of work, and in my family - absolute tigresses at work, aggressive, sharp, smart and completely different at home. Even subservient to an extent.

Its as if they exist as dual personalities, and easily slip from one to the other.

I think Kumud is a bit like that. See how easily she mouths that dialogue about marriage without love for Yash, yet for herself, she is afraid to take the plunge.

So two things are happening with kumud too

1. Marriage is for keeps, a woman who breaks her home is tainted - the social message

2. Love that feels so right cannot be wrong - her own feelings

Kumuds dilemma doesnt bother me much. Marriage no matter how bad is huge, divorce is

terrible and the social stigma tremendous, esp in a small town I am sure.

So she needs time to commit and rebuild herself. Till then she will be this conflicted person,

pushing him away one moment, pulling him close the next.

Their ties are strong, he is sure of his love and hers too, he knows she has been scarred and

damaged, so needs to heal.

Notice how he never doubts her feelings, or worries about what she is doing. He is confident and

secure about their love, its her self doubts that he has to erase and his frustration is with that and

the damage he has caused to her.

Kumud I get, its Kusum and Kalika whose characters are behaving inconsistently.

Beautifully said Arshi! He is so sure of thier feelings for each other. he is so sure that he will be able to give her the support she needs to come out of this trauma. He is so sure they are meant for each other. He is so sure that kismat is bringing them together to be together. It was just so convincing and strong.

Which is why, even if Saras were tro agree to a ridiculous promise to marry Kusum for Kumuds sake, how can they sustain a storyline after that? Will they show us another traumatised Saras, trying to make a life with Kusum. I dont see a future for that track!

I think we should stop rationalising and call it for what it is...

I think its criminal what cvs are attempting...which is to go down the sister marriage path for better trps...

the thing with pramad - kumud situation was that neither one cared or loved the other. ...with kusum being shown as in love...its much more sicker and criminal (I repeat myself) if they show them getting married...

just see ...this crap will take that route...
as per spoilers if kalika comes in as yash wife, kumud is in an accident, kailka blood only matches (thats another illogic)...and kalika pits a condition she will give blood only of saras marries kusum...saras will do it out of his love for kumud. ...but kusum ke mann mein laddoo photenge...she will do it for love...

what is unpardonable is that the cvs are pulling viewers by their nose and slowly getting them used to a saras - kusum marriage...

let us rationalize all we want to remain in our happy bubble...but i feel the violation of this kamarbandh symbolism is one more nail in the saras - kumud coffin...

Absolutely Hgg

1. I hate hate hate people being treated as samaan, and passed around like kamarband or whatever is chosen as a symbolic

2. Marriage for sacrifice is unrealistic and incorrect

3. There is no justification of sudden obsession of Kusum for Saras.

4. There is no logic in khoon ke badle shaadi - it is the worst kind of trp logic that has to be seen as just that - a total lack of creativity and blatant dis regard for story writing principles.

4. Even scifis and fantasy fictions adhere to there genre and the rules thereof, this is bakwas.

5. And just as while Kumud was married to pramaad, the love between saras and kumud had to be crafted very carefully, because in the framework of a marriage, any other romantic relationship is open to scrutiny.

6. here it will be a choice consciously made by saras to marry kusum, who loves him, there can be no Samud there after, no dil connection, no atma connection, then he is commitment bound to love kusum only and banish every thought of Kumud.

7. So saras Kusum marriage has to spell the end for Saras Kumud, otherwise CVs are just a distorted sick lot. I am sorry to say that.

Hgg and Arshi,

This is now a show where the CV's and Director(s) change more rapidly than the 'kamarbandh' changes hands...😆 Edit- noticed last night, Arshad Khan out, Mayank Gupta in!

Do not distress yourselves with imaginary scenarios. The only way is "OSS"ex!

That is to say, watch every episode, scene like it's a One Shot Show.

Never try to connect with symbolism used in any previous episode.

Never look for logic, you will not find any.

Enjoy GR's acting, Jen's acting.

Ignore the BD's...

Chill.

Most importantly, Ignore Kusum, Else your BP will shoot up and your sanity will be lost and all for nothing, just Smoke and Mirrors...😛

So MG is back in.

They seem to be on a symbolism overdrive anyway

Its a kandil, its a sari...

no its Kumud

Its a kamarband, its a mor pankh, no its Saras

Gir gaye bhaav sone ke😡

Checked out the episode. Though Samud romance is back, I just can't seem to enjoy it. CV's are adamant on adding Kusum factor everywhere. Even Dugbaa says Kusum is more fortunate than Kumud so we give her everything ? I am hating Kusum nowadays, she is not the Kusum we knew. She will be soon more n line with Kalika & Guman. But after all Samud have gone through & suffered, are Cv's really going for a Saras-Kusum marriage, shocking. And is Saras considered a human in this house or is he like the kamarband to be exchanged between sisters hamesha keliye 😲 I think I will stick to your CB for sometime. I just can't tolerate that Kusum nor can I see another sacrificial track, no way. GH may want his TRP's but I want some sense in the story. The makers could have very well burned Tripatiji's novel than butchering it to this extent. If they go ahead with Saras-Kusum marriage I have a serious mind to sue SP...butchering literacy and height of hypocrisy. I sometimes think GH really has a sadistic approach to a story. Sorry for the rant Arshi, reading your CB is more peaceful than watching these episodes.

Well said. I totally agree. I just raised the question so we can discuss. Because at that time she was kind of sure of her feelings. What happened to her later (those haunting memories of Pramad burning her) plays a huge role in her making a decision.

I too can understand kumud Arshi. What they are showing wrt character now is very consistent.

I too saw many women who are completely different personalities at work n home. Well that's a gift they possess given the situation they are in.

Saras like you said, never doubted her love. I think it's huge. Accepting kumud after what she tried in BD'S house is not simple. That's why that fire scene was so important and well done. It kind of reset kumud.

PS: I think like shrija said, she was in awe of him after that rescue act. And lot of trust n respect. Those were behind her calling him back.
