A wonderful 100th episode! 👏 I am happy you tied up all the loose tracks and gave a closure to them, not to mention answered the endless questions that were lurking in our minds. 😃
I will mention some of the highlights of the episode that stood out for me.
Jalal's murderous glare to Sharif when he said either Jodha accepts Islam or leave the Mughal Sultanate. Jalal's expressions was mind blowing, he would have chopped his head off then and there. It was a 'how dare you say that' look! 👏 What he says or does to Jodha is his prerogative but any one else other than him can't say or point a finger at Jodha in front of him. Applaud worthy moment.
Jalal's coming to Jodha's room and in one glance he understood why Maham and Ruqaiya was there and this was the very first time he stood up for Jodha against Maham and Ruqaiya. Very subtly and yet firmly he reminded Ruqaiya that no body can question the Shahensha as his promise is also related to the throne and his words are enough to shut any other revolting voices. In no uncertain terms he was there for his Jodha giving her all the support she needed. His amazed look at Jodha when she said she will discuss with ammijaan and will do what she advises her to said a lot about his unexpected surprise and shock.
In the court Jalal's announcement of denouncing the throne to Rahim was the biggest proof of honor about his word, his concern for Jodha, supporting her honor and religion, his standing up against wrong even if he himself was bearing the brunt of it...every thing surmised in that one declaration.
His look of concern at Jodha the moment Hamida Bano said Jodha will convert to Islam. For a moment I thought he will just get up and go to her. He kept looking at her and even after Salim Chistie's message he looked at her to see her relief. This whole episode was a progress graph of Jalal's feelings and concern for Jodha. He himself doesn't know how important Jodha has become for him. Not even in his conscious or unconscious mind he has any trace of hatred that he once so boasted of to her.
Jalal's admission to Jodha that nothing happened that night. Well I knew it because I understand this Jalal so perfectly 😃 and I am thankful CV's you do too and have kept him consistent without any see-saw effect. He was so clear today like he always is but sometimes his messages are coated in flirtations, mischief or teases and that is beyond Jodha to understand or maybe she was too stubborn to give him a chance. Her outright harshness and being rude almost looks like her defense mechanism against Jalal so that she is not sucked in by his charm. 😃
Today every little or big dialogue of Jalal proved he is not to be questioned. He is the Shahensha, the emperor, no body asks him why, when, where, how, what but he unburdens himself on his own but if asked one will get a clouded reply. Jalal told Jodha she had jumped to conclusions even before she asked him and just to torment her for not trusting him and his promise that was a little punishment she had to bear by not getting a clear response from him.
And the last scene is remarkable! For the first time we see a change of equation in the relationship of Jalal and Ruqaiya. Jalal before that stopped Ruqaiya from pressuring Jodha about converting to Islam very gently. In the last scene in no uncertain terms he clearly told her what is between Jodha and him is their business and not hers. He hinted not liking her keeping tabs on him, mind you he never had any problems earlier about this but now he drew a line between him and Ruqaiya. He gave a purposely misinterpreted response to her again under the same notion that no one questions him, if he wanted to he would have told her himself on is own without any probing but the moment he is questioned he smilingly told her to back off. That is Jalal in short.
Before whenever Ruqaiya barged in on him demanding something he always smiled and answered her and calmed her down but did exactly what he wanted all along except for in the miscarriage issue. When Ruqaiya told him in no uncertain terms that he was not going to Amer he did go under the pretext of unifying his kingdom, he smiled but in the end he went, he keeps that sense of mystery in his response, Ruqaiya knows him better than any one else - yes, but not wholly and fully. Jalal always keeps his brain functions only to himself. Maybe he would have told Ruqaiya sometime later on, on his own what happened that night but not when questioned and asked with the intent of keeping an eye on him. That the emperor will not tolerate from any one no matter how close that person is to him.
Come to think of it all along it was like this. Immediately after chess game when Ruqaiya was sulking in defeat he goes to her calms her down laying out a plan of action for Jodha, after the sword fight scene there too he showed how his brain functions winning over hearts with his mind games, even when Ruqaiya was pregnant and was badmouthing Jodha's gift Jalal kept his thoughts to himself...he has this selective hearing and observation and finally always does what he wants to in the end. Nobody demands or questions the Shahensha, nobody orders the Shahensha, nobody has authority over Shahensha. May be in future Jodha will rule over him, but for now he is the king of himself.
CV's thank you for listening to our endless rants abut toning Jodha down from excessive harshness and rude behavior and you listened. Even when she was angry she turned her tone down today by several notches and what I wrote last week she has no sense of humor compared to Jalal. you are making her adopt it from Jalal. Chalo kuch toh influence huya Jalal se! Tomorrow's precap showed a new Jodha.
Overall a good episode, thank you CV's. Only request now don't retrace back your steps after going forward. And PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE TAKE THE ROMANCE PHASE SLOW!! I DO NOT WANT IT TO BE RUSHED, NO CONSUMMATION NOW!! Please CV's there will be innumerable obstacles in their lives, drifting them apart but they will unite nevertheless and the ultimate culmination of love should be at the very end.

Oh and why do I feel that this whole religion fiasco was either all Sharif's efforts or Maham's. Her goal was to convert Jodha, she never guessed Jalal will be ready to give up this throne for Jodha. Will see who is behind this later.
