Pavitra Rishta Written Update 4th November 2013-Completed

Ankita is at work, she peeps into Naren's cabin as its empty, shes looking around with great curiosity through the glass pane on the door, when suddenly Naren appears!

Ankita ducks to avoid being caught staring, Naren is suspicious, he feels somebody was there watching, he presses his nose on the glass in a funny way and looks down, but Ankita is well hidden below and he cannot see her.

He leaves after some time and Ankita gets up and goes back to her desk. She heaves a sigh of relief that she saved herself today, otherwise she would lose her job!

Arjun's cabin:

Arjun gives Rushali a file to look over and she says everything is okay!

Arjun calls Ankita on the intercom and asks her to take that file to Naren and get his signature and bring it back to him.

Ankita is a bit nervous and asks, Naren Sir?

Arjun asks her if theres a problem, she says no, he tells her to do the job quick then!

A co-worker brings the file to Ankita and she thanks him.

Rushali is asking Arjun if hes sure that the girl Ankita can get Naren's signature on that file?

Arjun tells her if she has a doubt, then she can dispel her doubts as hes sure Ankita can adapt to Naren's working style.

Ankita is taking the file to Naren's cabin when a guard stops her at the door and asks her why shes going in. She tells him Arjun Sir sent a file for Naren Sir's signature, the guard allows her to pass.

Ankita goes into the cabin but its empty. She looks around, then looks at his empty chair. She thinks hes not there and turns around to leave when suddenly shes startled by his voice saying, Stop!

Naren emerges from under his desk holding his phone. He doesn't look at her as he dawdles on the phone and asks her to wait!

Then he tells her to go...she asks where shd she go? He says Jump Jump, Yess! Hes playing games on his mobile, Ankita is bewildered.

Naren finally puts down the game and says, Yes! Highest score to beat the game!

He drinks some coke and looks at his computer.

Ankita nervously tells him that Arjun Sir sent him that file for his signatures. so to please sign on these...

She puts the file on his desk, he signals her to give him her pen, she doesn't understand at first then does, she gives him the pen, he signs his name in different styles on each page. Then he gives back the file, she asks for her pen. He looks grumpy and puts her pen in his pen stand. She looks surprised but then thanks him and leaves.

Arjun is discussing marginal profits with Rushali...Ankita knocks and enters his office and gives him the file signed by Naren.

Arjun asks her if Naren had signed, she says yes. But she adds, Sir, please check the papers because Naren Sir signed with different signatures on each page.

Rushali looks at the file and scolds Ankita for looking into the file as it was marked confidential. Ankita tells her she didn't see anything later but when Naren Sir was signing the papers she noticed his different signatures. that's why shes informing them.

Rushali says its okay, she can leave.

After Ankita leaves, Rushali says they will have to redo the file all over again.

Canada: Deshmukh mansion

Pushti is making a Rangoli near the entrance. Nina comes down the stairs, Pushti runs to her saying, Mummy Mummy, she pulls her mother outside to show her the rangoli.

Nina praises her rangoli, then says, Pushti dear, don't u think it's a little early for this, theres still time left for Diwali!

Pushti says, Oh Mama! I know that but we have to prepare ahead. Do u know, Aaji and Badi Aaji (Savita) are in the kitchen, they already made aranji and laddoos. So I thought I will practice my rangoli too.

Nina squeezes her cheeks, kisses her and says My dearest Baby! You are born and brought up in Canada but u still follow the culture and customs of India!

Pushti tells her, Aaji taught me all this. She told me abt all the festivals of India!

Sachin comes there and asks her if Aji told her abt Lakshmi Puja?

Pushti says, of course she told me! But Baba, why do we worship Goddess Lakshmi?

Sachin says, Good question! By worshipping Lakshmi we appease her, and she blesses us with prosperity and our wealth gets doubled!

Nina sarcastically says, Really? How would I know, I don't have the experience. In order to double one's wealth, one needs to have wealth in one's hands! But the amount we have in our hands, we will spend whole life trying to be rich! Don't know how many Lakshmi Pujas we will have to do for that?

Sachin rebukes her, Come on Nina! You started again?

Nina replies, What again? Im only telling the truth!

Pushti gets annoyed, she says, OH-ho, Mom, Dad! Why do u keep on fighting on this topic?

Nina holds her cheeks: Baby, we are not fighting, we are just joking, come on lets make rangoli together!

Nina sits down with Pushti to do rangoli, Sachin is leaving, when Teju comes from behind and tells Nina..Arey Vahini (Bhabhi) what are u doing? Just look, the colors are ruining your sari!

Nina tells her, Let it be! I can ruin not one, but 1000 saris for my daughter!

Teju still goes on teasing her, You don't understand, Diwali is coming, you have to go shopping, buy gifts, saris, clothes, jewelry! Why are u getting busy with Rangoli now? You shd go shopping now! You will run short of time!

Teju adds, Oh ho, even ur nails are ruined! Now u will have to get a manicure as well! Can u get manicure appointments at such a short notice?

Nina looks at her nails in alarm, then says, Teju! You don't have to make fun of me! She gets up and leaves.

Teju calls after her, Get a pedicure as well since u are going..

Sachin rebukes Teju, you wont reform naa?

Teju tells him, what did I do? Whenever I see Vahini, I feel like pulling her leg! And if I cant tease my own Vahini, then whom will I tease?

Sachin says, right, u just tease her and then later I have to put up with the consequences!

Teju and Pushti laugh as Sachin goes from there.

AK Telecom office, Mumbai:

Ankita is looking worried as she sits at her desk. Another office girl asks her why is she looking so disturbed?

Ankita tells her how she went to Naren Sir's office to get some papers signed, but he did different signatures on each page, so shes perplexed abt him.

The other girl says, so what? Ankita says, yes maybe that's fine but hes such a rich guy but when I went in there, he took my pen and kept it with him, there were so many pens on his table, still he didn't use them! Hes rather strange!

The girl tells her, Genius! Hes a genius! And genius are like this only, Unpredictable! The mobile phones we sell, Naren Sir has developed all its software! And the other genius is Arjun Sir who does the marketing for these phones! The combination of these two is whats called a Superhit Jodi in filmy terms, like SRK and Karan Johar, like Salim Javed are famous, these two are famous in Indian business! This company's shares keep going higher!

Ankita asks, so where was this genius until today? I never saw him!

The girl says, We don't know, yaar! Hes a genius and also rather eccentric! Hes the company owner so if he so wished, he might have gone on vacation!

Ankita's mobile rings. Its Shashank calling. The coworker sees his caller ID on the mobile and asks Ankita if that was the guy who came to see her the other day? She asks, Why aren't u taking his calls? Answer him naa

Ankita takes the call, Shashank tells her to meet him after an hour outside her office. They can go out for tea.

Ankita tells him it wont be possible for her. She has too much work pending.

Shanky says, please don't say no...tea is just an excuse, actually I have to discuss something important with you!

Ankita tells him she doesn't know if she can be there on time as she has too much to do..

Shanky tells her she can come according to her own convenience. He will wait for her at home, he has to teach Prashant Maths anyway.

Ankita agrees and they hang up, but she looks worried.

Train stops at a station, most passengers get down, seats are empty, Shanky's mother beckons Ankita to sit beside her, she complies. Ankita asks her how she is doing.

Shanky's mom tells her, its good I met u here. I want to discuss something important with you. Ankita, Shashank is my only son! I have many dreams abt his wedding and his household. He has chosen you for himself! I don't have any problems with you as such, you are a very nice girl, ur wise and beautiful! But Ankita, I don't want a girl who already has the burden of her whole maayka on her shoulders. I want a girl who will only take care of my son and my family! Shashank really loves u a lot and is willing to compromise everything for ur sake. Hes even ready to bear the burden of ur family, of ur siblings, which I cannot accept at all! I tried to explain this to him but he wont understand my words. So I want you to refuse his proposal in future.

Ankita looks sad and upset. Shanky's mom continues, Yes, one more thing, the other day when I came to ur house, I really liked ur younger sister, Mansi! Shes such a simple and sanskari girl! Shes just the kind of girl I had wanted for Shashank! And she doesn't have the burden of the household or her siblings, so if u don't have any objections, then Mansi can become my bahu.

Ankita looks at her with distress. The mother tells her, shes leaving now and she hopes that Ankita wont tell anybody abt this meeting and their discussions.

She gets up and leaves, Ankita looks worried and upset.

At a posh Hotel in Mumbai:

Arjun and Shirish are coming down the ornate staircase.

Arjun is telling Shirish, You know what my dream is? That our company will have monopoly in this sector! That's exactly what I want!

Shirish tells him, lets go and tell Naren this good news!

Arjun says, Naren? Where is he? I haven't seen him since morning!

Shirish says, You know this boy! Mention of work and he disappears! Anyway, you handled the meeting alone so well, Im very impressed! Whats the matter, Arjun? You look too excited today! Is this because of the deal or theres something else?

Suddenly, a girl passes by and her sari pallu wafts over Arjun's head, he looks back in surprise. A woman who looks like Purvi from the back is going up the stairs, shes in blue sari, her long hair smooth down her back. Arjun remembers Purvi, their music plays in the background.

Arjun stares at her, the girl stops to talk to another girl on the stairs, Arjun is lost in his thoughts.

Shirish snaps his fingers in front of his face and says, Knock Knock! Whats the matter? After many years, I see so much affection on ur face for a girl!

Arjun smiles and shakes his head, Its nothing like that! Not like you're thinking..

Shirish says, Really? This girl is beautiful, smart looking too...let me go talk to her...

Arjun stops him, No no no...actually I thought she was someone else!

Shirish is puzzled, Someone else? Who?

Arjun just scoffs at him and leaves from there, Shirish follows him.

Arjun goes and sits on a chair in the lounge. Shirish joins him, Arjun says, Theres someone I met in my dream!

Shirish says, Really? So this dream girl has a name?

Arjun tells him, I call her Life...

Shirish says, Life? Interesting!

Waiter serves both the men coffee.

Arjun takes his coffee and continues, Anyway, I don't believe in morning dreams, because mine never came true so far!

Shirish tells him, Take my advice, Arjun, come out of ur dreamworld and step into reality! In all these years, u never liked any girl, life is so long, how long will u live alone? I think ur wife who left you will never return to you!

Arjun shakes his head, whatever she does, it doesn't matter, but the thing is I cannot give her position to someone else! Never! And all this 2^nd marriage etc, all these things are not my cup of tea!

A lady walks by dropping her hanky, Arjun calls after her, Excuse me! He picks up her hanky and hands it over. She thanks him and walks away.

Purvi walks into the Hotel Reception, shes wearing sunglasses. She checks into the hotel at the Reception.

Arjun suddenly sees her at the reception desk, he can only see her side face, he stares at her. She walks off with the bellboy following her with luggage, Arjun is still staring after her with a stunned look.

He runs after her, knocks down a waiter's things, apologizes, by the time he reaches the hotel passage, he cannot see her anymore.

Shirish follows him and asks, whats the matter, whom are you looking for?

Arjun says, No, I just thought I saw someone here, someone I know...

Shirish laughs and says, It seems u cannot get out of ur dream...

Arjun says, Unfortunately No! Im really sorry!

Shirish says, Lets go back to office. We have to give the good news abt the deal to everyone!..Come on!

Arjun leaves reluctantly.

Vasai Road station

Ankita at home, sitting at the dining table, lost in her thoughts. Mansi comes and says, Tayi, ur home? She gives Ankita a glass of water, Anki thanks her.

Ankita notices the bandage on Mansi's foot and asks her, Mansi what happened to ur foot?

Mansi says its nothing! I and Sonu and Pranav had gone to market with Shashank Sir, an auto came from somewhere and knocked into me.

Ankita says, Auto knocked into u and u didn't tell me? You could have called me? Where are Sonu and Pranav?

Mansi reassures her, Tayi, relax, its nothing, just a little sprain! Sonu, Pranav went to get medicines for me, and Shashank Sir was also there. He handled everything very well! And do u know Tayi when I fell down there..

Mansi tells Ankita everything abt what happened, how Shanky carried her in his arms, brought her home and bandaged her foot.

Ankita looks disturbed as she listens to Mansi, she remembers Shanky's mom telling her how much she liked Mansi...that she wanted a bahu like Mansi for Shashank!

Mansi asks Ankita whats she thinking abt? Anki shakes her head.

Mansi says, whats this Tayi, you didn't tell me anything? You already discussed everything with Shashank Sir?

Ankita asks her what is she talking abt?

Mansi asks her, You talked to him abt my marriage? Today Shashank Sir had come, he said if u agree, then everything will be all set! Tayi, thank u, thank u so much! I know, if u weren't there for me, then none of this would have ever happened! Thank you, Tayi!

Ankita tries to smile, Mansi leaves.

Anki thinks, Manu, u are mistaken, you are misunderstanding Shashank's words! Before ur misconception increases, I will have to talk to Shashank abt this!
