Ayaan in Asad's dream was by no means an accident. It has a purpose.
In that dream sequence, Asad was smiling fondly at the two when Ayaan and Zoya were bickering with each other. Asad also playfully asked them if they had forgotten that he was around.
But all this is going to change in the future.
Asad is not going to tolerate even a few moments of laughter between Ayaan and Zoya. He is possessive, totally possessive about Zoya. The possessiveness twinge start during Najma's engagement when Zoya playfully told Ayaan that they should run away together.
Then we saw Asad beginning to feel some resentment towards Ayaan in the hospital. He hesitated before caressing Ayaan's hair. He definitely felt resentment when he watched Zoya taking care of Ayaan when he had gone to pick her up.
During the punching bag scene, he is upset that Zoya wanted to stay back.
P.S: In yesterday's episode [for the first time, I watched before reading but I skipped Tanveer's parts], I liked the explanation given as to why Zoya stayed back even when she had to go back. I hope the CVs do this for all the scenes which have been done without explanation.
